1 week away from surgery!

I have my surgery on Tues June 4th. Im nervous but so excited about what's to come. I know it's going to be very hard in the weeks following surgery but Im ready! I have really high blood pressure that I have been struggling with for years. Im at 195 pounds and 35 BMI, I have struggled with weight loss because of hypothyroidism. I know I don't have a huge amount of weight to lose but in the end hopefully I will be healthier and maybe get off some medication. I am 32 with 2 kids and Im mostly looking forward to being active with my kids and husband and being happy in my skin for the first time in a really long time!!

Im June 5th, and I am starting to find myself having little panic attacks. I've had surgery before, but not this much. Just trying to stay focused.

Stay focused you guys. Just wait til you see what you can accomplish. You will b so empowered. Best wishes! I'm three months out this Saturday. Lost forty preoperative and 45 since surgery. 90 lbs gone for good. U can do this!

Congrats! I feel the same way I'm scheduled at NYU June 21st. I'm nervous but excited. How are you doing with the pre-op liquid diet ? I'm scared I won't be able to do it :(

Mine is on June 10th and I am super excited. Doing the 14 day diet now to prepare for it.

Today is day 2 of the pre-op diet. Yesterday was not fun. But today was so much better. Just keep a positive attitude!! It makes a world of a difference!

Yes they approved me, I had 35 BMI and 3 co-morbitities :-( I was really worried but it got approved in 2 days! Super quick!!! Got it scheduled within 3 weeks :-)

I'm one week away to on the 5th.... Sitting in the doc office waiting to meet the bariatric team... Had a set back with my heart, still waiting on clearance from the cardiologist - but he said proceed with everything! Just had a CTA scan yesterday- figured if they didn't stop the test and rush up to a room I passed! Crossing my fingers! Will know more Friday on that! Had the endoscopy and upper GI last week- all went well... So know it's done to the final stretch!! I'm more excited then scared! Good luck to everyone! June 5th can't come fast enough!
