  1. Ground, is that the same as the Mush stage?
  2. Yep, I am in a waiting game as well. Not a fun game, lol. I am waiting for insurance approval now. After that I will have an upper endoscopy and a gallbladder ultrasound. Welcome to the community! STATS: Female, 279, 5'3", BMI: 49.42, Age: 30
  3. Congrats Tammy! I too have seen everyone I have been told to see and am now waiting by the mailbox to find out if my insurance will approve me. FINGERS CROSSED! Of course at the speed of my mail service that letter probably won't arrive until after I am sleeved, lol! Chances are, I will hear from the hospitals scheduling dept if I am approved, long before I see that letter. Good luck! Keep us posted!
  4. LOL, I used to have really long heavy hair, and I got so desperate to loose any weight at all before my WW weigh in, that I left an hour early and had it cut really short. Every week I would wear the lightest clothes I had, made sure I went to the restroom just before, took everything off I was aloud to take off and pray I had lost at least 0.01. Any loss is a good loss.
  5. Call your doc. All are different in what they want you to do. Mine said, as long as you're not doing crunches, or any real abdominal workouts, go full on. He told me I could hit the gym and start cardiac the day I get out of surgery.... Will I? Probably not. The first week I think I will stick with lots of walking. But yeah, call your doc or Barbaric Coordinator, she/he should know too.
  6. Welcome to the community!
  7. Your in my prayers! I'm so excited for you! You're doing it! You're taking control!
  8. You don't need a prescription. You can get it over the counter. I know where I live a bottle is under $5 at the grocery store and it works really well for me.
  9. Eat! You only have two hours left until a long liquid then mush diet! Keep us up to date with your progress!
  10. Take a supplement until you can add more into your meal again. Good luck!
  11. Yeah, all I know is for donating blood you have to wait a year. I would call my doc.
  12. That's amazing! Thanks for sharing!
  13. Okay, I am liking this thread.
  14. Start journaling everything you eat. Make your meals in advance so that you just have to pull them out and heat. Think about how far you have come and how you don't want to go back. Good luck!
  15. I didn't think I was a sugar addict until I got rid of soda and caffeine. After the caffeine withdrawal was over, I suddenly wanted candy and lot's of it. I don't like candy all that often, until now! Now I am having to stop that too. Sigh...
  16. I am not sensitive to artificial sweeteners, I just can't stand the taste. Sigh, I am just going to have to get used to it or steer clear of sugar all together as much as possible.
  17. Good luck!!!
  18. Hope you feel better soon! I've lived with my mom's severe depression so even though I work hard not to let it get to me, I do understand.
  19. I do use Skype a lot. It does go through your internet or Wifi. Just make sure you call someone elses Skype or it costs.
  20. Why can't you just use your cell phone normally? I sit with my friend at the hospital at least once a month and neither of us have had any problems talking on our phone. Will you not be near a tower?
