Given that anything going in your anus would have to travel at least 25 feet through your intestines to reach your stomach, I'm going to guess hell no unless your partner is some kind of serious anatomical freak or you have the world's longest toy at your disposal.

I know its controversial but I go with a Starbucks breve latte. Its high fat, high cal but low sugar. Its also got higher Protein than a regular latte. Takes a long time to drink and fills me up!
Otherwise, you can always find planters peanuts and cheeses anywhere.

Watch out for "light" options. They often substitute carbs for fat. Fat does not make you fat, but carbs will nail you.
Forgot to mention Japanese. Sashimi, edamame, cucumber salad, miso Soup. Low carb and high Protein. Great!

Stop bullying yourself. Your not a bad person your just a biological creature that noticed fake cheese paste sedates the physical angst of boredom. Dude. Its yummy, salty, coma inducing goodness helps us procrastinate doing what we always said we couldn't do until we lose weight. When that wears off, you get to procrastinate because you're a carb eating loser who doesn't deserve to do those things anyway. food is NOT the problem here. Your boredom is the problem. Address the boredom friend. Something about boredom makes you anxious. Try intentionally doing nothing in a quiet room. Observe any thoughts that arise and the physical sensations which come with them. The more you "sit with" that which you are trying to avoid, without judgment, the less of a demon it is. It gets easier to say "crap! Its "that thought or that feeling again. I know where this leads." Then, run like hell. Go for a walk, clean the bathroom, dance to your favorite song, learn to play guitar. Just don't get bored. I suggest this because I'm a lazy fake cheese eating loser who knows what will happen if I let myself get bored. Lol. We are all in this together.

You don't stretch your sleeve from one episode of overeating. Just get back on track and move on it will be fine.

Every day is a new day to start over. It doesn't make sense to beat yourself up over your mistake. Learn from it and move on. For starters, eliminate all trigger or comfort foods like that from your house! You have just experienced the reality that slider foods like crackers go down with no problem. I have eliminated most carbs from my diet post surgery. A good rule of thumb is if the food starts digesting while in your mouth (with saliva), it's best to avoid it! Does your surgeon or hospital offer a mindful eating class? Food issues don't just disappear post surgery.

Someone gave me a great reminder on another thread ... You have a few weeks on this side and probably a lifetime on the other side. It will take time to adjust your mind along with your body changes. Keep working at it! Good luck!
I also agree mindful eating classes and/or counseling are big helpers.

What a question! I've always been an emotional eater and the first few months were an emotional roller coaster. I still have the occasional "binge" but its pathetic and doesn't "satiate" me. I have no choice but to practice yoga and meditate daily now and acknowledge (avoid) my triggers. Daily Journalling, MFP, Yoga, Meditation and total honesty keep me aware.

I said good-bye to McDonalds, Dunkin' Donuts, pizza, churrescaria (sp?) restaurants, key lime pie, sushi....
I realized that eating McDonalds is a lot like bad sex.... You don't even want half of what you get, the part you DO want is overdone and poorly executed, and in the end you're just left sticky and alone and a little confused.

ElyQuint got a reaction from snowkitten in Preop struggles....first time poster
I've seen so many of these posts and could have been the author a year ago. The pre-op experience has little to do with the post op reality. It is not indicative of your likely success or failure. Statistically speaking, when it comes to weight loss, we are used to failing. We all think we are the worst offender and the weakest link. You are about to commit to an incredible journey of self love and kindness. I encourage you to concentrate on what your mind is saying about you and how that has impacted the decisions you have made on your own behalf. Then embrace your decision and refuse to listen to any part of your inner dialogue that undermines you. You will find that the negative voices get louder when your stomach starts growling. Its panic. It has been a successful method of self sabotage and its time to show that bastard in your brain that tantrums are not going to be rewarded with french fries any longer!

Nah, no need to do that! I promise you'll have all your favorite foods again, just in much smaller portions! I'm 5 months out and the only "favorite" foods I haven't had again are Pasta, rice, and a fully loaded cheeseburger. I go to Red Lobster and have steamed crab legs on a regular basis (with butter!!), have modified versions of pizza which are just as good as regular, and generally find ways to have my treats and keep losing.
Everyone says this is a lifestyle change so make sure the changes you are making fit your lifestyle. There is no one around, not even very thin people and people who have lots tons of weight, who don't have some version of their favorites one in awhile. Black and white thinking about "good and bad foods" will lead to a sense of deprivation, loss, and resentment which will ultimately lead to overeating on the things you love, instead of allowing yourself to have them in reasonable amounts.
Good luck with your surgery! You'll do great!!
