Wow! Hoop jumping!
My doctor wants you to be using your CPAP for at least two weeks prior to surgery. I guess I can see why, it does take some adjustment. Everything will work out for you even if you have to wait longer than you wanted to.

nutrition class
The NUT visits are good! Great place to ask questions from a professional. I also *HIGHLY* suggest getting involved with support groups as soon as you can. Many times a NUT will be there and possibly WLS-knowledgeable medical staff. At my last one there were two RNs, both former WLS patients.

Guys with low T
I've been doing injections for almost a year - DEFINTELY cheaper AND better. And if I can learn to get over the fear of injecting myself ANYONE can!

a little down
In the end, you gotta do it for you. You deserve the best and you certainly deserve the best quality of life for yourself. Taking care of yourself first will reap the benefits you want. I wouldn't go through this for anyone but me. If it gets me that look from an attractive lady or two at the mall, I certainly won't complain!

No more NSAIDS?
I was told never again after surgery.

Why are there 3 billion types of protein powder?
The first GNC I went to made me a free sample. I don't know if all GNCs do this, but it can't hurt to ask.

I need to lose 30lbs in 3 months! HELP!
If you haven't already, work on taking smaller bites and chewing each bite 20-30 times each. What'll happen is that you'll eat slower and feel full before you finish your plate (vs the other way around) or you'll get tired of eating before the plate is empty. Eating slower has caused me to not eat at much at each meal and is helping me lose weight. I've lost 30 pounds pre-op.

Guys with low T
Sorry, being moody and snappy sometimes comes with the package . Give him time for the treatment to do its thing. In the meantime, you have us here to lean on.

Guys with low T
Hang in there and if he's resistant keep reminding him of the benefits he'll see once he starts treatment (which we're hoping will deliver benefits to you as well!). Let us know how it goes.

Disgusting Protein Shots Beware.
I'll warn you in advance - they can be a little tart! I let my coworker sample some and he added Water and thought they were not bad at all.

"Eating-too-fast syndrome".... anyone else?
I fear this happening to me after I have my surgery. Someone here mentioned an app for Android called "Eat Slower", I plan to lean on it heavily.

Low-energy helped by anti-depressants
I've been struggling for a few years with my energy level which sometimes is in the dirt. I've had a recent sleep study and my CPAP setting is where it should be. I was diagnosed with Low-T but it is being treated and a recent test shows my testosterone level is where it should be. I started going back to the gym recently (4 - 6 times per week, easy treadmill) and I my energy level is a little better but I'm struggling for motivation to even get to the gym these days. For the past few months, I've mostly eaten a lot healthier than I have been. I started looking into antidepressants. With the help of Welbutrin (low-dose) I was able to quit nicotine almost 7 years ago. I tolerated it well. I'm wondering if this is my next step to help my energy level. Anyone here seen their energy level get better with the help of antidepressants?

Not so much but that doesn't mean your hubby would have the same symptoms that I did.

Can you?
If you're talking about the "Yes Whey" answers are yes and yes. I wouldn't recommend the "New Whey" at all.
