Wow! Hoop jumping!

Ok! I have everything in to be submitted for insurance approval. The coordinator is supposed to submit this evening or tomorrow morning. Well she informed me that she has not received the sleep study report yet; and I will have to wait two more weeks for clearance if the doctor feels I need a Cpap. I did not even know that I had moderate sleep apnea until I had the study. I am trying to get a date at the end of May. June is slam full of obligations. I don't want to have to wait until July. I pray that everything will fall into place????

I know. I'm waiting to hear if my doc submitted for me. I really need to have this surgery beginning if June so it's making me crazy waiting. I've called the office several times but no one has called me back. I'm becoming to crazed. I even think that maybe I'll go into the office to check in!!!

Jgcraftmom I understand completely about the onesided phone tag. I have called several times over the last couple of weeks and no one returned my call. I have sent emails because I know how busy they are. She won't even respond to emails???? that makes me angry! As much as these procedures cost you would think the offices would be more professional about returning calls. I have even considered changing surgeon offices!

My info was submitted for approval. Bcbs needs additional records. I should know something with in 14 days. This is like waiting for Christmas morning when I was a kid!

My doctor wants you to be using your CPAP for at least two weeks prior to surgery. I guess I can see why, it does take some adjustment.

Everything will work out for you even if you have to wait longer than you wanted to.

Happy to answer any questions you have about the CPAP machine - I've been using one for about 6 years.

I used the Cpap last night for the first time. I woke up feeling like a million bucks! I have not felt that good in a long time;-)

It always makes me happy to hear someone say this!

Are you wearing a full face mask or what did you end up with?

I have just the nose piece and chin strap. It's not too bad. I haven't had trouble sleeping with it.

Thanks Misse 28! I got an initial denial letter on Saturday. I talked to my surg coor. And she said to ignore that. She had to send in documentation that I meet the criteria. I should know the week of the 20th.????

That's great! I have my fingers crossed for you! The outcome will be well worth it! Good luck!
