  1. This is going to sound ridiculous to you but please hear me out: why not try putting it on while you're sitting around relaxing in the evening before bed? Maybe watch TV or read while you have it on for a little while just to get used to it? You would think the first thing I do when I wake up is rip off the mask but I don't. I'll lay there for awhile as I'm waking up as I'm that comfortable with it after almost 6 years.
  2. We all need to be getting active before surgery - at my first NUT appointment, she said start walking 10 minutes per day. The first few weeks were h*ll but now I'm up to 23 minutes. If you think you can do Zumba, give it a shot - just be careful if you haven't done it in awhile. But definitely do something.
  3. My doctor said 2 weeks. People I've talked to that used the same doctor said they felt like going back to work just a few days later. YMMV.
  4. I would be very suspicious of any website that offers free MP3s. That being said, you can make your own MP3s from CDs or download from pay-sites.
  5. I replied to your question in the thread you started here: http://www.verticalsleevetalk.com/topic/79289-dr-manuel-castro/
  6. Hi there. Dr. Castro is my surgeon. I first contacted his office in January and am scheduled for surgery on 5/28. The office staff are friendly, Dr. Castro is kinda quiet and reserved but friendly as well. Someone here at work (and his wife) used and recommended him so that's why I chose him. Was there something in particular your friend wanted to know?
  7. My doctor says 1 year after surgery. I'd recommend you ask your doctor.
  8. I use the Psyllium Fiber Metamucil - does anyone see any issue using that post-surgery?
  9. Gotta make a pitch for mine: http://www.polar.com..._with_Bluetooth Paired with my Galaxy Note 2 and http://www.digifit.com/overview/ I get lots of stats related to my workout in realtime and afterwards. I sync it, and it uploads to DigitFit's website where it stores my workout info. DigiFit also talks to myfitnesspal and other apps. My first Polar was an A5 I got in 2005 which I don't believe is made anymore. The ones you mentioned have far more features and are more expensive.
  10. Randy Jackson from American Idol.
  11. Oh we've had MANY conversations about it. The last thing she gave me for it was Finasteride - among it's many possible effects (like practically everything else today), it says it could take a year for it to work.
  12. I wake up many times per night to urinate. Are you saying that could go away if I no longer need the CPAP machine?
  13. Happy Birthday and congrats to you!
  14. How lucky am I? I come to this forum for VSG support and I get that AND porn!
  15. It sounds like you're not needing it but only a sleep study will tell you for sure. I'm happy for you and can't wait to not need my own machine anymore!
  16. At this point, I'm a week behind you (pending insurance) and at Methodist vs Forest Park. All the best to you, however, and keep us updated!
  17. The video brought it home for me as well.
  18. My NUT had us start working on this before surgery - it was easier than I thought. Here's why you shouldn't drink while eating:
  19. HGH

DonRodolfo replied to SuperOx's topic in The Guys’ Room
I don't know anything about HGH, but if you suspect low testosterone please get your level checked if you haven't already.
  20. People sometimes say things just to get a reaction like yours. Life is too short - don't waste your time on people like that.
  21. Welcome! There are LOADS of wisdom on VST, just start surfing and ask questions. I learned a lot just going to my mandatory NUT (nutritionist) appointments and I suggest you start going to support groups.
