alobri reacted to LipstickLady in Are You Happy That You Had The Sleeve Procedure?
Seven months out next week and I was one who had a few complications (minor) post op. Slight stricture, difficulty passing the food stages, major Water poop anywhere/anytime, lots of time spent sliming or vomiting (still happens once or twice a week).
That said...
BEST.DECISION.EVER.

alobri reacted to SleevedJune62013 in I'm not proud of this....but....
We went to a hibachi grill. The one that cooks the food in front of you. Well this place apparently puts teriyaki sauce on EVERYTHING. Ugg. My scallops & shrimp blew out my a 15 minutes later in their bathroom. Later when I took my daughter to the bathroom they had an 'out of order' sign on the door! LOL. Seriously? It's not like I **** all over the wall.... I didn't miss the toilet. I PROMISE! We made a hasty retreat and never went back. Sorry Kobe Grill.

alobri reacted to ldybzkt7 in 4 months out and falling off wagon
Wow. The negativity from some of the users on here is just plain ugly. Some haven't reached the point of struggle and some forget what it felt like. To the person who wrote Just don't eat ****? You dont belong on here. This is a friendly and helpful community. You took the time out of your day to make someone else feel bad for expressing their concerns for their struggle. Shame on you. Life is hard enough without negative people dragging us down. To the poster of the thread, I am only a week out so I have very little advice on the topic, but what I can tell you is hold your head up high and don't let these fools bring you down. We need to stand together...not tear each other apart.

alobri reacted to PrettyLilButterfly in SPANX- how soon after surgery can I wear them?
I would agree with everyone, it's when YOU feel comfortable in them. I wore my girdles about 2 weeks out. Granted I don't do Spanx. I Love the concept, dont' get me wrong..but umm a small hole at the bottom to attempt to pee out of? no thanks:)
I have found some amazing alternatives at Walmart & Ross where I can wear my own bra and still get the full effects of spanx i'm somewhat addicted to girdles!! Almost have as many as i do shirts! haha..but it boosts confidence and keeps my skin in control!

alobri got a reaction from Roo101769 in First Dr. Visit
I can literally dance in one foot after nurse took my weight. The scale says I lost 16 lbs. my surgery was 8/20. I can honestly say I haven't had one complaint about the whole process. I guess I am one of the lucky ones. Hope this recovery period continues to be awesome in this long road that is my new life!
