  12. So I was sleeved 9/9. I am having the most horrific acid reflux. It feels burny in my stomach and in my chest. My surgeon said its totally normal and to start taking mylanta. Im starting to freak out because it feels like heart pain. I cant even sleep its so bad. I hold my breath til it subsides and I just cry and cry. Please, advice from anyone on this???

  14. (Hugs) I am right there with you sister. Sleeved 9/9 and I stopped watching tv because of all the food commercials. It was giving me anxiety! We just have to power through this difficult part and when we are skinny and healthy...you'll look back and laugh. It takes a STRONG person to go through this. You got this.
  15. I was sleeved on 9/9. I spent two days in the hospital before I came home. My first day home I felt like I could lift a car off the ground. Today....not so much. I felt ambitious and went to walk around Target and immediately regretted it. Panic set in and 8 felt so weak. I practically ran back to the car for fear of throwing up. My tubes from my drain are painful and I have the worst heartburn. Does anyone else get the wicked heartburn? It really is horrible. My dr suggested Mylanta and I just tried it. I am really hoping tomorrow is a better day. Today I laid on the couch and watched 90210 in between crying and sipping. My tongue still feels numb and I am super weak..but I'm not having trouble swallowing. Disappointed that I had such a great day followed by such a terrible day. I hope that your recovery is better tomorrow my friend. 9/9 club!
  16. Wow. The negativity from some of the users on here is just plain ugly. Some haven't reached the point of struggle and some forget what it felt like. To the person who wrote Just don't eat ****? You dont belong on here. This is a friendly and helpful community. You took the time out of your day to make someone else feel bad for expressing their concerns for their struggle. Shame on you. Life is hard enough without negative people dragging us down. To the poster of the thread, I am only a week out so I have very little advice on the topic, but what I can tell you is hold your head up high and don't let these fools bring you down. We need to stand together...not tear each other apart.
