  4. Try to find 100% Whey Protein. Tastes nasty but nutritionist says its the best
  5. Ask how often your pain med is scheduled. Ask for it as soon as you can have it. As long as you don't let the pain get out of control, you should do fantastic! They say after day three, there's very little pain. I'm a RN, so the pain med advice goes for any injury/surgery. Keep it under control and you'll do great!
  6. Spices make food go from bland to yummy!!! What's your favorite spice and how do you use it? My personal favorite is Mccormick Monterey Steak Seasoning. It's coarse garlic and pepper. My favorite way to use it is on green Beans. I put frozen green beans in a Corningware dish with a lid or a steamer bag. I sprinkle the seasoning on top. I microwave the green beans for about ten minutes. They are SOOOOOO GOOD! My kids even love them.
  7. Toradol is very effective against visceral pain (gut) pain. When they say to stay away from NSAIDS, they're talking about ones taken orally. They are very likely to make your stomach bleed and ulcerate. Hope this helps! I'm an RN by the way lol
  8. My doc said stay away from ice cream! It goes down great she says but it's very easy to eat too much!
  9. You're gorgeous!!! Keep up the good work!
  10. How much have y'all lost, just out of curiosity? I really wonder how much of a difference the diet makes!
  11. Lol... Never knew we spoke our own language!!!
  12. The Atkins meals are good if you have issues with portion control. Honestly though, if you're sticking to a high protein, low carb diet, eating the whole thing is not a deal breaker. I did Atkins years ago and I ate until I was full of meat and veggies. No more than 20g of carbs per day... Just so you don't feel so bad
  13. Chicken breast with rotel on top. Put a frozen chicken breast in a 9x12 cake pan. Pour onesmallcan of rotel on top. Bake at 375 for one hour. My kids love this too!
  14. Try Knorr Caldo de Pollo bullion. It makes a yummy chicken broth. They also have a beef broth.
  15. As a nurse I can tell you protein is VERY IMPORTANT to heal after surgery. I don't see why he would discourage you drinking it!?!
  16. chicken broth has been my saving grace. I hate sweet stuff and the savory flavor of chicken broth is amazing!!!! I use Knorr Caldo de Pollo. It's usually on the Soup isle. It only takes a teaspoon for a 16 oz cup. Try it. I PROMISE it will help!!! As far as hunger, the Protein shakes are what satisfy the hunger for me. Hope this helps!!!
  17. Congrats you guys!!! Make us proud!
  18. Please ignore *Cheddar's and *pissed me off typos! Stinking cracked screen on my iPhone makes it hard to see my typos. Sorry!
  19. I was on day three yesterday of my pre-op diet. My dad TOTALLY pissede off. I had been really wanting Texas Cheese Fries from Cheedar's and Movie Popcorn one last time. I seize the opportunity. Before I went, I have a fajita salad with pico de gallo. I was basically full at tht point. I had two bites of Tx Cheese fries, a couple of handfuls of popcorn, and I was done with it. This morning, I woke up and I'm back on track. Did I do the right thing? NO. But, what's done is done. I'm eating my premier chocolate protein shake this morning and eating my jello. The end LOL
  20. In Texas, Walmart has it. Sometimes it's by the Soups and sometimes it's by the Mexican Cuisine items. Here's a picture (I think LOL
  21. I just had an epiphany.... If we Eat/Drink stuff we don't like, we won't eat/drink so much! Liking food is what got me here!!!! LOL
