Please keep in your mind you are pre-op so right now there is no damage to you. This is when you should fall and pick yourself right back up. They and start a food journal with foods and amounts and work your way back from there. We all fall but, as you said, that is no reason to throw in the towel. Each day write down something you are really wanting out of your surgery (other than just losing weight). Maybe it is getting off meds. Maybe it is wear clothes you dreamed of. Try and set markers so you have small victories. I went on the front lawn (when I hit 50 pounds loss) and danced to "Can' touch this". This was my victory. I don't care what the neighbors think, they don't get it. I wish I could be more of a help but if you follow these steps I believe it will help you more than concerning yourself with what has already been done.
Good luck to you.

If it helps you get through it here is my story. I started at 250 on May 6th (when I had surgery) as of my 60 days out I was at 200. Once I hit 199 I went on the front lawn and danced with my daughter to "Can't touch this" at my 90 days I hit a stall and am stuck at 187. That is ok because one it breaks the excitement will be like the first day again. My goal is 130 and I know I am going to make that by the end of the year. Stay positive and always be thankful for your loving husband.

I have spoken to my doctor and he said they do not give out Zofran. This it is for cancer patients. I can not take the liquid flavored crap on the market. I don't know what else to do.

Beach lover - Did your Uncle do anything for you when he hit it?
I would buy an RV travel in the states, Buy a nice home on a lot of acres. Donate some to animal shelters (have to look at them close) I am not their to pay someone else's salary. I would buy thigns for it, NO CASH!!!!! I would set my mother up with her own little house with room for the biggest garden ever. I would not help my sister because she nevered helped herself. Pay for any neices and nephews who want to go to college. I guess over all just be happy.
I would not invest anything into this country right now.

Even tho it can be taken, it should be taken for a short amount of time. The more you take it the bigger the risk of comlications with it.

Here is some advice I can give you. Eat off small plates (cake plates) this is a mind game when you see the plate is full. Put your fork completely down between bites. When you don't feel empty and more stop eating and you can eat somemore later. Try little bites of things to see if it still agrees with you or that you even like the taste of it. Use a table spoon when serving out your plate. Alcohol. hummm, I just tried it for the first time and what I had would have been a gulp for anyone else but it too me all day until I gave up on it.
I hope this helps you and good luck.

I have BCBS in Pa, I did not have any pre-op to follow. If you have other conditions it can be bottom line 35 BMI if there is no other conditions it has to be 40 BMI. Talk to your doctor about it and see what he recommends.

Before you leave the hospital make sure they do an emezyne test. I had so many problems after getting my Gallbladder out it took me many time admitted to the hospital, home nurses, and 3 months to get over mine. There is a good chance you can get acute Pancreatitis. Then they found stones outside the gallbladder and when they went to get them they tore the bile duct. This was the worst surgery I have ever had. Child birth was better than this. This scared my family so bad it has taken me years to convience them to let me have another surgery (this is the one). I sure hope this one goes much easier. This is to inform you and not to scare you. Good luck, let me know how you are doing.
