I know prior to surgery I read on here about people saying they lost friends. I was like how sad but I've got great girls we'll be fine. I made it appoint to never bring up weight loss unless asked because I don't want that to be the only thing I'm known for talking about. One of my very very good friends came and spent both nights with me at the hospital so my husband could go home to take care of our kids. We were pretty close. Talking on FB chat nightly for hours going to lunches, concerts, m
I'm happy to say I reached my 100lb mark (second mile stone) in 5 months! I'm comfortable wearing shorts around family which i haven't done it years! I've started couch25K as well. I would have never thought I'd be running! My goal is to run in the color me rad 5k next summer. I'm extremely happy with my success and I hope everyone else is enjoying this tool we've been given!
So I started having increasing right side pains that would come and go. Didn't really pay much attention to it until getting ready for bed a few nights ago I was struck with such intense pain I was crying like a baby. It went from my right side to my chest to between my shoulder blades. I'm not a fan of my local ER the best one and the one my wls surgeon is at is 25 miles away (30mins if traffic is good) but I was willing to go local. My first thought was "omg ill feel better if I throw up!" We'
Last week was spring break. We spent the entire week in sunny Southern California. We took the kids to Disneyland and typically I would worry about being able to fit on rides. I even googled what rides an over weight person should avoid. I got in the park and was like forget it I'm doing everything. You know what? I rode everything!!!! Nothing squeezed me or hurt. I fit!!!!!

oz?

I'm 3 months out. I'm eating 3 to 4 oz about 4 times a day. I stop when I feel full. How much is everyone else eating? My biggest fear is that my stomach will stretch!
I'm so excited. I've lost 4 pants sizes. I'm fitting into jeans in my closet that i haven't warn in years! Spring break is in a few weeks and we are going to Disneyland can't wait to spend some time in sunny Southern California
I've been over 300 lbs for around 3 yrs. Today i weighed at my doctors appoint ( i only weigh at doctors office because i don't own a scale. i will not be a slave to the scale) I was hoping for a decent number since i weighed on Feb 5th. I was shocked to see 10lbs gone. With that it put me at 294. i'm super happy with my progress. This isn't easy for sure but it is so worth it! I'm getting my life back
I'm getting bored with my foods. I seem to get up and eat the same stuff day in an day out. example boiled egg minus the yolk, 1oz reduced fat cheddar tuna for lunch plain cottage cheese, or string cheese for snack then fish with a few broccoli stem but this is working for my weight loss so far but if any of yall have any suggestions hey let me know i don't eat over 800 calories but usually around 600
I am so ready for summer! I'm ready to be out gardening. Going to farmers markets. Im excited at my new lease on life! I no longer worry about the scale. I actually no longer own one the only time I weigh is doctors visits. I feel good and I'm getting my protein and staying around 600 calories a day. Life after surgery only gets better
Little behind updating but i made it to my one month post op check up last week and i wanted a bigger number but I've lost 33lbs which after i stopped and thought about how many people lose 33 lbs in 1 months! so now i'm proud of my loss. My left thigh is still numb and slightly painful but he said in 6 months that should get better. This month i'm going to focus on my walking and i will pull a big number at my next check up in march! I'm great full for my supportive people i have. I return to w
I'm day 16 post op and i've been doing really great so far. Yesterday had a major bout with nausea i think due to constipation (tmi?lol) but today man oh man i've been craving a diet dr pepper so bad!! I can't wait until the day i'm able to drink just a sip of one but i'm trying not to focus on what i'm missing instead of what i'm gaining by losing this weight!
