  1. That's pretty rotten on so many levels......so she's convinced herself that the vitamins and not the tiny meals are responsible for her tremendous weight loss. The gastric bypass was a failure then? What a scam artist.
  2. I made a tofu quinoa salad and have not been bothered by it..I am 4 months out
  3. You look amazing!!!! And I am happy you are feeling better!
  4. Certain foods over little restriction......practice protein first. I get full quickly when doing this. I have seen some members post salad is a slider good for them.
  5. I cried every morning for the first few weeks. It gets so much better! Wait till the weight really begins to melt off. Once you can eat regular food and find yourself satisfied on very little your only regret is going to be you didn't do it sooner......promise!
  6. I drink so I won't eat. I drink mostly water with a splash of g2, if I am drinking I can't eat! My treat in the evening and takes me a long time to eat is 2 T of p b 2, it's 45 calories and 5 g p and it satisfies my urge to snack.
  7. I experienced it once. It happened about a month ago at 4 months out. I was giving dinner for the men in my house and was eating my own food while doing it. I was eating roasted kale and some cottage cheese and I believe 1 I ate too fast 2 I ate a bite or two, too much and 3 the kale on top of it. I ended up with a stomach that was too full and hurting and after about an hour I began burping up mouthful of foam. I learned my lesson to really pay attention when I am eating.
  8. I struggle to get on 60 g p.....I might be able to push 80 by adding another meal....
  9. Everyone is right, your boss has no right and cannot say if it's elective surgery. Any co morbidity? I operate a busy boutique and decided to be public with my surgery in the hopes it might help someone come to the same difficult decision I made . It took me years to make it......and everyday was a good funeral! I finally feel somewhat like my old self and although I went thru with this for health reasons I am loving seeing my face emerge from all my day! I will post before and after....Will need to figure out how on my phone or kindle....I love this sight...Thanks for all the info and support! Eboni...we r neck and neck!
  10. Having the sleeve has given me the ability to finally lose this weight and get healthy. I don't feel cumbersome anymore....I see my old self emerging again. I can squeeze through much smaller areas....I used to be afraid to sit in a booth at restaurants!!! I can fit in all ALL the clothing lines I sell in my boutique. My blood pressure is perfect and my husband says I no longer snore. I am lucky enough to not have side effects other than done hair loss which so far isn't noticeable due to thick hair.....taking biotin to combat that. I am thrilled I finally did this and recommend it to anyone on the fence!
  11. Only regret is not doing this sooner.....I love my sleeve!!!!
  12. I am swallowing pills no problem.....have been since about 3 weeks post op
  13. I usually concentrate on specific amount of fluids at a time to get it over with. 16 or 32 oz at a time.
  14. Just tried the high protein tofu from trader Joe's. It's 14 g p for about 3 oz.and it's very firm which keeps it from falling apart. Also marinated it in their soyaki marinade. Really good!
  15. How wonderful and exciting! You are an inspiration and so pleased for you:)
  16. Looking good! I was a double d...now a d. Would like to lift mine and be a c. Also I need a tummy tuck...eventually. I don't think insurance will cover mine
  17. I ate soy as soon as I was on pureed...I like the idea of dry frying it. I also like to drain the water..then slice it and freeze...it's chewier if you freeze it....
  18. If I find myself faced with head hunger..I drink. I can't eat and drink at the same time and the urge passes.
  19. Yes..if you drop the calories too much will lead to trouble. Sometimes I up them for a day and somehow it kicks in a drop. Increase exercise!
  20. I like updating here because it tracks my weight loss ...since I don't track it elsewhere. I am down 73 lbs since 1/21/13, 83 in total!
  21. I weigh my food ...I like knowing how much I am eating...I feel more in control I guess.
