  1. last night i took half a banana, 2 T of p b 2, 1cup of 1 percent milk..i use over the moon brand has high calcium and protein....11 g p cup.......it's a delicious banana milkshake with 16 g of protein without that too sweet cloying protein shake taste and i also add 1 T real maple syrup for added sweetness. it's about 225 healthy calories and i make it thick with ice and eat it with a spoon. or, for just 45calories i east 2 T of p b 2 with a baby spoon....it takes a while to eat and it good that evening craving to snack.
  2. i had regret and depression in the beginning wondering what the hell had i done. 13 weeks post op and 75 lbs later i love my sleeve. i love the restriction and the tool the sleeve is in controlling what i eat. couldn't have done this on my own
  3. i bet if you gotback on the scale the next day that pound is gone.......
  4. i am 13 works post op. i am down 75 lbs, 10 of those were pre op. at about 2 months post op i began drinking one delicious strong cup of coffee with 2 T of half and half and a t of sugar. i do calculate these extra calories into my daily intake and it does give me 2 g p. i do enjoy that cup of coffee each morning and about one a week i also enjoy a cappuccino in a cafe .
  5. ifyoufreeze the tofu makes for a chewier texture. i use any bbq sauce in the fridge. also tamari with fresh ginger.
  6. i am 12 weeks out, never had a case of the foamies till last night. i was multitasking which is fine if you can concentrate and not wolf your own food down. i was trying to throw together food for some major members of my householdhousehold and first i munched on some roasted kale.....and then i Very quickly ate5 slices of meat sub. deli meat. i had the last bite in my mouth and felt the warning signs,should have spit it out but i swallowed it. for one hour horrible pain in my stomach and chest, then i burping....with each burp the taste of kale...gross....then i kept burping and i could feel it at top of my throat..then a mouth full of foam. happened for the next 10 minutes. big mouthfuls of foam. my stomach began to feel better slowly...then the hiccups. not nice . gonna try to slow down!

  9. i think the worse part is waiting for surgery.....it wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be. sip your fluids and force yourself to walk. see you on the losers bench!
  10. tes is rightright..the density of water is really heavy.....i mix in g2 and it makes water tolerable...
  11. i was supposed to get my bloodwork done and forgot to fast! so Monday....then to the surgeons Wednesday. i down exactly 60 lbs post op so i know she will be happy with my weight loss.
  12. your weight loss is great! i am getting blood work done too...try not to be nervous...if you are low in something it can be worked on to correct to make sure you have no deficiencies...

    i think everyone is right.....meat sounds like its just too much for you right now. chili is the best......it's moist and the meat is broken down...you can also experiment with different kinds of meat in your chili. Yes! i ate alot of ricotta cheese bakes one month post op! refried beans with salsa and cheese cheese....i still eat chili almost daily at about 3 months post op.'
  14. i think Jeff is right. being so far out from surgery it's prob a stomach bug but heed the advice of everyone and contact the doctor...feel better!

  19. kaykay..i am eating 800 to 1000 daily and losing steadily. some weeks it's 2 lbs....some i drop 4,5,even 6 . recently lost 11 lbs in 10 days! that has never happened they all my post op !!
  20. if youyou cook it long enough it's mashable with a fork.....so good....
  21. i like to buy firm tofu....squeeze out the excess water by putting a heavy can on it for a few hrs. thin and bake in the oven after marinating in a marinade Like soy ginger.....with a little Brown sugar. then bake at 350 -375 till Brown and crispy on edges.
