  1. This might help: http://www.befoodsmart.com/blog/the-best-and-worst-greek-style-yogurts-for-your-health/ I'd avoid seeds while healing (Passion Fruit) or added granola (nut), but the "fruit" is so soft that I consider most varieties pureed anyway...
  2. We are all different. That said, like you, by week 2 I have never had any trouble drinking. I fill quickly, of course, but I can get it in normally... Strange...
  3. I believe this is all related to the vagus nerve irritation (along with runny nose and sneezing). It will likely get better.
  4. What's your BMI and how much do you plan to lose?
  5. Ah, this is the 'whole shebang' , right??? Not just the last pre surgical visit?!?
  6. OK you have learned that our Programs are very, very different. I suggest that you (we) follow our program precisely. The big challenge is our fat brain and now is not the time to be creative... That comes later. Me? I was on puréed as soon as I left the hospital. Go figure.
  7. Which is why IMHO our hardest job is our heads. If we get control of our minds, the sleeve will absolutely work. As Laura says, keep you head in the game!
  8. Then let's each promise to help those who struggle and need our support. With love (sometimes tough love) but love nonetheless!
  9. Kimble??? Try SIMPLE! (sorry!)
  10. Well it's Kimble. You meet eith the surgeon or his/her team and they draw blood for 'last checks'. A good time to admit your nervousness and ask any questions!
  11. Just hang in there, partner! The surgery will go well, and then you'll start the work to regain your health, looks and other great stuff!
  12. Call and ask. I did everything in one night. First I slept, and clearly documented apnea, so they kept trying different masks and pressure the rest of the night. Sometimes this is divided into two nights, but they did not need to wait in my case. Have NO idea what part 3 might be???
  13. My drain removed before release. Dizziness could be related to pain Rx or to lower BP. Is it worse when you get up from being prone or seated?
  14. From Butterbean: http://www.dsfacts.com/weight-loss-stall-or-plateau.html
  15. Me saying, "OK, when are we going to start" and the nurse saying, "You are done."
  16. Butterbean is spot on! And I say "if you see it on TV, you don't want it". Somehow it helps.
  17. Every pound you lose is a pound you have lost. Just keep the focus on liquids and proteins, and follow your program. It'll come off, and what the heck, you are sleeved for the rest of your life!
  18. We all love them Ozzies!!!
  19. Lovely family, friend! I would not worry too much about skin, that is a "later" issue. As for Vitamins, I use
  20. unrelated to your weight and weightloss. Consider working with a more supportive team. I know I do better when I see my struggle as a poartnership with the professionals, and I would not feel so with this one...
  21. Explore ALL the protein shakes... the good ones have a sample pack! I am an Unjury guy! And you keep trying, like in ALL things!!! :-)
  22. Well if it was the worst, it's gonna get better now, right???
