I'm Afraid of my Scale
Hey weary traveler! Assume you made it home safe and sound? As for the scale, try once a week and see if that works for you. I have been weighing every day and I probably shouldn't.

Any March Sleevers?
I agree. The stress and nerves pre-op were WAY worse than the recovery thus far. I am 18 days post op and it is so much better everyday. My Dr. has me on liquids for 3 weeks so Thursday I actually get to use a fork again. I wonder if I'll remember how to use one! Good luck, you will be so happy you did this!

Am i missing sonething?
My Surgeon does the leak test in the OR. Do you recall if your pee was green in the beginning? If so, you probably had it then.

Did anyone have to put on Xanax to be able to have the surgery?
I did not have any prior to surgery but I was wishing I had some! I was a wreck! It was all for nothing though. Quite honestly, I truly think that the worst part of the whole ENTIRE process is our anxiety prior to surgery. Our mind takes over and it stresses us so much! It's The relief of having it done is so great! Then you can look forward to the new you! For me, I have been so much calmer and focused on recovering and looking forward to the rest of my life. Good luck to you. You will rock it! There are so many people here that will talk you through the anxiety that we all felt prior to surgery.

Protein Shake Suggestions...anyone?
I use the Unjury in the morning. Either one of the chocolates. I make a cup of decaf coffee. Pour half of it in a cup and put it in the freezer. Enjoy a few sips of the hot decaf. Let is chill for about half an hour. Mix it with 4oz skim milk, a scoop of chocolate protein powder and a hand full of crushed ice. Blend it and have a nice little mocha.

Ambien and the sleeve
I used to take Lunesta and loved it. Ambien is cheaper now with the generic so my insurance company made the medical decision to change me to ambien. I'm so glad they know my medical history better then my Dr. I mean, he has only had 4 years of college, 4 years of med school , 3 years of residency and 2 year speciality training. Not to mention the years of experience of practicing medicine. On the other hand my insurance company has a clerk who made this decision probably has a high school degree maybe if she is lucky a little community college under her belt. Of course, she was probably studying fashion design.

How much soup?
Thanks for the input. It takes me about 15 minutes. Have to reheat it a couple of times. I don't like luke warm. Hasn't been an issue to finish it but that's all I have. I have it about noon and 4 then some clear broth in the evening and finish the night with a protein shake. Next week I start soft food. Can't wait!

How much soup?
I'm doing tomato with skim milk. I've been doing 1/3 cup. Was kind of wondering if that is the right amount myself??

11 days post op...
15 since surgery. Not the fastest loser but steady so far. Sometimes a pound, sometimes .2 but it all adds up and it will come off! Hope the same for you!

finally discharged from the hospital after 2 days
Sorry you are hurting. It really does get better every day. Stay ahead of the pain if you need to and take the meds. Walk and sip as much as you can, it will help more than you can realize right now. Speedy recovery!
