  1. I'm addicted to British tv shows about obesity, obesity surgery, plastic surgery, etc... It's so weird, I can't get enough of it!
  2. Yeah! How about some pics in a sexy hospital gown!???
  3. Hang in there! Had a bit of a scare yesterday myself and I was totally shaken up. You're in good hands - glad to hear the CT is fine. Try to relax and stay positive!
  4. Suspenders, people! BTW, I have a million pairs of cargo shorts ranging in sizes from 46"-52" to give away if anyone wants them!?
  5. I've had bratwursts (no bread) and its just like any other 3oz piece of meat or pork. No problems!
  6. Laura...do you prefer your cucumbers peeled or unpeeled? I've found I don't have a preference...
  7. Ah, okay - thanks for the clarification. I wish you success not only with weight loss, but discovering and tackling the issues that caused you to gain the weight back.
  8. Have I mentioned how much I LOVE cucumbers?
  9. Is that a cucumber in your pocket? - Or are you just happy to see us?
  10. I'm curious (being totally serious) - how do you gain weight back when your pouch is the size of an egg. I mean what do you have to eat to physically to make that happen?
  11. Fantastic - welcome to the Loser's Bench! Keep us updated, will ya? JoeyGRocks had his surgery this morning as well. Take care, bud!
  12. Hi Quad! Love your profile pic I live in Port Orchard on the weekends and in Seattle during the work week - let me know if you are ever interested in a Kitsap Group walk or something!
  13. I just noticed that I didn't reply to your question! I was 326 on surgery day and on the date of the 2 month surgiversary video I was 284, so that would have been a 42 lb loss. Sorry about taking so long to reply!

  15. Paying it forward already! Love it!
  16. I talked to people about. I created a YouTube diary to remind me of where I started and where I want to be someday. I've never felt better, but to get here, I had to find the joy in other things, more meaningful things than food. You'll get there - 5 days out, you are allowed to feel this way. Heck, you're probably in the grieving process! Hang in there - it gets better every day
  17. Major difference! Great job - keep it up!!!
  18. Sexy, I was sleeved about 1 week before you. I can't fathom eating a Big Mac, but that is probably because I haven't had a desire to (I'm just lucky that I don't have hunger). I don't think you're really asking for advice or support (based on your original post), so I won't give any. But to those other people who are pre-op and alarmed by this, your reaction is normal, but keep in mind, this is not the typical VSG post-op experience.
  19. I've pre-ordered the Flex - just using the FitBit Zip at the moment.
  20. They are too busy out having fantastically active and fulfilling lives to be on here moaning and groaning about bowel movements and head-hunger....j/k Well, I hope that's what I'll be doing in a few years!!!
  21. Your dog needs his Mom to be healthy - I agree, stay hydrated and just do what you can. But dehydration and lack of calories/protein can knock you on your butt really fast now! Speedy recovery to the pooch and great health to you!
  22. You're totally not crazy. Heck, if we were all experts in battling head hunger, we wouldn't have needed surgery to begin with. Just allow yourself to "feel" it, don't ignore it, but at the same time don't give into it. Just acknowledge it, think about what might be making you "head-hungry" and tell yourself you deserve to be healthy and successful more than having the ability to throw down a bunch of battered, deep-fried carbs that will NEVER love you back. It's hard, but if you can start breaking this head-stuff down now, you'll have long-term success! And the hope of long-term success is why we have resorted to such drastic measures to alter our anatomies. You can do this!
