  1. Was it like a golf ball sized meatball? Or like the baseball sized ones? Lol
  2. For either the clear liquid or full liquid part of the diet. I make home made chicken broth with water, chicken, onion, carrot, parsnip, dill, and a pinch of salt. If I strained all of the chunks out I'm assuming I could use it for my clear liquid diet. Then for full liquid just purée up the veggies and chicken in the broth. Would that count for protein? Calories? How much?
  3. Oh, and have you had an issue with skin? Losing so much so fast, or has being young helped?
  4. A healthy alternative that I make for my son is purée cauliflower
  5. Obviously I don't know since I'm pre op as well, but when people write in caps, I read it in a screaming voice haha
  6. Chocolate protein shakes?
  7. Thanks everyone! Like I said, I can handle pain. After my csections I never took anything more then Motrin. It's good to know that the nausea meds work. That's what's scaring me the most. I know long term I won't regret this, so whatever I have to do ill do!
  8. I'm still about 3 months pre-op, but I've been researching for over a year. I've pretty much wrapped my head around the diet (pre and post op), the technicalities of the surgery, and how huge of a change this will be. After reading around here I have a few questions.. (I did search some of my questions but didn't get anything really) 1. Is it comparable to a csection (pain wise)?I've had 2. 2. Does everyone have to swallow that stuff for the leak test? I heard it was beyond disgusting 3. Do nausea meds really work? I have a serious phobia of vomit (so bad, that I've had to call my mom to come over and clean my son's vomit because my husband was working). This is causing me SO much anxiety. I have a very high tolerance for incision pain, but NOT nausea. It will actually throw me into a panic attack if I think I might throw up. Please give me your experiences or advice!! Thanks Edit: and If anyone has similar stats as me I'd like to hear your experience too!! I'm 5'3" 280lbs.
  9. Haha I guess I'm in trouble.. Two glasses of wine pre-op and I'm drunk lol. I can only imagine after..
  10. Oh I'll definitely do what I'm told, even if that means giving it up forever! I'm just not looking forward to the withdrawal migraines and having no energy.
  11. Ugh, that's what I was afraid of.. I know caffeine withdrawal sucks
  12. This is what I'm dreading. I'll admit, I'm a caffeine addict. I drink maybe 2-6 cups a day, plus a few diet sodas. I need since I sleep horribly. Did everyone have to give up caffeine? I only had to see my nutritionist once, and he's so anti surgery that he was being an ass during the whole thing so he didn't tell me.
  13. I'm pre-op, but that's exactly how I felt with both if my pregnancies!! Definitely test!!
  14. My bmi is about 47 and I have to do a 3 week
  15. Tummy bug? Could you be pregnant?
  16. I can't imagine ever wanting to stray from my husband. He's in perfect shape. 6' 185lbs and very good looking. If he's still with me and in love with me now when I'm 5'3" 280lbs, I can only see our love and attraction growing. At least I hope.
  17. I did refer him to this app. I told him there are tons of "vets" here. He's very much an emotional eater and my grandma (his mom) was very sick the past few months and passed away last week. He's always had poor habits, but I know stress makes it worse for him. I guess it's just a good example that this surgery truly is just a tool, and by no means a quick fix
