VSG POST C SECTION
I've had two csections only 2 years apart so I cant wait to see responses to this! I'm 23 so I'm hoping my age will help with my elasticity, but my stomach pretty much looks like a deflated yoga ball lol

What factors dictate "fast" and "slow" losers?
- before and after pic question.
Ok, I ask because your before pic looks similar to me. I'm 5'3" 290. I hope I lose as fast as you! Keep up the good work!- before and after pic question.
You can deff see a difference! Awesome job! What were your starting stats if you don't mind me asking- What factors dictate "fast" and "slow" losers?
Are there certain things that dictate fast and slow? If I were to follow exactly, to a T, what my doctors say will I lose fast? I'm 5'3" 290 . My problem is portion control and emotional binge eating. I pretty much have no self control. When I've actually set my mind to a diet in the past, I lost quickly, but then my will power would get the best of me. I cut out diet soda on Friday and I've already lost 4lbs. Experiences? Comments? Thanks in advance!!- Did you have a catheter ?
I'm pre op, but had two catheters with both csections. My first csections was an emergency, so she shoved the catheter in before I was numb. It was uncomfortable for a second, but tolerable. Taking it out is just weird, no pain. The only part that was painful was I got a UTI from it after my second csection. But luckily they gave me antibiotics in the hospital and it was fine.- Special underwear or belly wraps
I'm pre-op, but for what it's worth, I used one after my csections. It helped with getting up and down and walking, but if I was just laying down is take it off.- Stomach butt!
This is my fear. I PRAY my tummy goes in nicely, but I need to be realistic. I'm only 23, but I've had two kids and my stomach looks like a giant yoga ball that's been deflated. Not to mention stretch marks that look like I survived a tiger attack- What changes did you make to your diet before surgery?

The food I eat is pretty healthy. My issue is portion control. But I have maybe 4-6 cans of diet soda a day and maybe 2-4 cups of coffee light/sweet. I know the diet soda has no calories, but I'm sure the sodium is retaining Water and since I don't drink water I'm probably holding onto a lot of weight .- What changes did you make to your diet before surgery?

Yes, mine said you had to be 2 months tobacco free, but I don't smoke.- What changes did you make to your diet before surgery?
And he didn't suggest any kind of changes I could make- What changes did you make to your diet before surgery?

My surgery isn't until June or July, but I'm thinking of making some small changes NOW to get used to the drastic change ill have to make post op. one thing is im a serious coffee/caffeine addict, and a diet coke addict. I don't ever drink Water. There are days I have absolutely none. I was thinking of cutting all beverages and replacing them with crystal light or that sugar free Mio stuff. Maybe it will help me lose some weight? Will it be too shocking to my system cutting all of that out at once? What about those 30day body cleanses? Sorry for all the questions, but what have you all done pre op to make the transition easier?- Heat/ sweating soo much
I'm sooooo happy to read this post! It's actually embarrassing because I sweat so much . Looking forward to being cold!- Medicaid question..
Oh, I'm in NY if that matters- Medicaid question..
My insurance is up for renewal in may. My surgery isn't until June/July. We have Medicaid managed care through united healthcare. My husband got a new job making good money so we will definitely be dropped. His job's insurance is horrible. I was wondering if there is any state insurances that I would be placed in, even if we had to pay monthly for it? I don't want to have my insurance lapse and have done all of this work for nothing. I NEED this sleeve! Thank you- chewing food
- down 70lbs
What did you start stand how far out are you (if you don't mind me asking?- How about protein powder in diet sprite?
- I hurt my husband's feelings
- Anyone on Birth Control?
I'm on nuvaring and LOVE it!- Slight issue with insurance..
Ok, so I'm on a Medicaid managed plan with united healthcare in NY. They mandate a 6 month preop diet. I started January, so my last weigh in is beginning of June, and I can probably be sleeved by July. My only issue is I have to re-certify for Medicaid in may. My husband recently got a new job and makes 4x his old salary so there is NO WAY we will be eligible for Medicaid again. I know there is a Family Health Plus policy that works on a sliding scale, so even if its not free we will still have coverage. So my question is, does anyone have experience with this? Do they approve you fast enough that there isn't a gap in my insurance? I want this surgery soooo bad and I feel like I've done so much, I don't want my efforts to go to waste. Sorry this is probably half vent, half advice. I'm just super frustrated and worried.- RIP livesaveremt
