I go Thursday at 2:30.... Im scared and nervous!

Well Everyone I went to my PCP. and he felt really bad. He is sending me to a wound infection specialist. He wants a consult with him. He wants to get this wound cleaned and healing. with the infection being so bad He said it is not healing properly. Once all that is done He is going to find me a NEW Band Dr.!!! woohoo! He told I dont have to see my Band Dr. again if I dont want to. Okay thats one step... Im getting there. Thanks you all for pushing me like you did! I love you all!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Leatha, for all thoes names.... I am just trying to get this wound fixed so it can heal so then I can think of my band. I am speechless about this whole thing I just hate it so much. And yes, Paula is a blessing... Everyone has been a blessing to me since all of this.

Paula, you are so sweet! I am trying to do my best. but good idea about putting a post of the Dr.s I am looking into.I have others on my list that I will be calling tomorrow. If none of these work.. I will be flying to CA! Thanks for caring so much Paula.. You are such a great friend. I just love the support here.. thourgh this rough time I dont know what I would do without you all!

Opps... No he gave me pain meds.. but they are gone.. and I am still in pain!!! I only take them at night to help me sleep because I can only sleep on my right side with a pillow holding my tummy up so it wont pull on my hole. and I take them if I am so much pain I start grinding my teeth. Yes grinding of teeth with me is a sure sign of 7-8 level pain. Penni I forgot about Zoe's boot but boy would it come in handy right about now wouldnt it LOL

Hmmmm I wonder if I drink some Aloe Vera Juice if it would help me... I know my hole is on the outside.. but it could help me on the inside... Oh heack I dont know what I am saying..... but I want some too.... hehehe

Gosh I hate thoes scales! why do we even have to have them.... oh yeah! I know! Anyway one time I weighed myself and I saw 284 OMG I thought I was going to faint... I wanted to scream and yell.... 2 days later back to 287 Ugh I guess I did something wrong... well it was worth that high for a while!! boycott scales!

Not to sound like a quack but should you be eating solid foods yet? What does your Dr. say you should be eating? By the way I wouldnt try the pork rinds even with no restriction them little buggers get stuck. Your just on your 3rd week out right? and 19 pounds is a lot! This is a time to heal not lose weight. but if you do lose weight thats bonus honey! I think you are doing good. Just ask your Dr. or Diet person what you should be eating. Every Dr. is diffrent.

I have not seen this thread until now. Okay Prayer Worriors I need your faith and prayers right now. I dont know if any of you have read my other threads but I had my port removed due to an infection and now I have a hole that I have to pack everyday. I need the courage and strengh to get through this. I am in so much pain and I cry out to God for his love and healing hand upon me. I need guidence in finding a new Dr. And the wisdom to know how to handle all this I am going through. Thank you for your prayers and support as I go this pain everyday. I belive that God will heal me, I have faith in our Lord. And By HIS Stripes I AM Healed!!!!

Hello everyone! I feel like I have been beaten and thrown out to the dogs! I am in so much pain I barley can walk... dont even ask how I sit down and stand up... and the bathroom UGH!!! I think this hurts worse then my orignal band surgery. I go in tomorrow to see my PCP he cant really do anything but maybe he can give me some pain meds. I called Dr. in Phoenix, AZ Dr. Terry Simpson. his web page looked really good and he seems very caring for his patients. I guess tomorrow I will call Dr. Frezza in Lubbock TX I know he has done a lot of surgeries mostly RNY though. We will see. I am just trying to survive each day. I still want my band though... I am not ready to give up! I never even had a chance to use it like I should. I just hope its not to late.

Please see your band Dr. right away, he needs to look at it to determin if it is a port infection. This is something NOT to pass even if it looks like something small. Take Care of yourself and let us know.

All I can say is follow what your Dr. says.. he is a Lap Band Dr. for a reason and I am sure He knows what he is doing in what he tells you. and if you have faith in him then thats all you need.. until then well follow what he says.... Take Care

Wow Kiely you can really see a change in your face. Good job on the 50 pounds lost. About the fill I would think you would only get a fill if your weight loss has completely stoped and you are able to eat double of what your normally eat with the band (everyone is diffrent) If I were you I would ask my Dr. and see what they say.. let him know what you are eating and how much.. if you have to write it down for a day or two that would be a good idea. But if your losing with what you have now... no need to push it anymore. You dont want to be to tight. Let us know how things go.

8 days out and your are eating that much..... Im not being mean but STOP!!!!!!! please your stomach has to heal... NOT lose weight HEAL!!! it just been poked at stitch a band to it... yeah its not ready to eat. Dont worry about losing weight right now... worry about healing.. Get back on Liquids... follow your Dr. orders!!!!!!

Im looking into Dr. Freeza he takes my Insurance.. and is only 311miles away in Lubbock I have been going to OH to get names to look up on UHC. Penni I want to call but I dont have your number :eek:

Yeah I do need to go with my gut feeling on this... Done get me wrong my Dr. is a wonderful person, always made me smile and always made me feel like he cared. But after a year of leaked port, replaced port, leak in the band. and now my hole I dont know. Dawn, This infection started out a small ulcer type infection on the surface of the skin from a fill it was 5 weeks before I went to see him again. He would NOT have seen me but I told him my port was sore. otherwise who knows where I would be now. He took out the port in his office and packed the hole and sent me on my way. Told me I could shower with the open wound. I did. next day pus like you wouldnt belive. the pain was bad I wanted to die! my fever got up to 101.4 and I was taken to ER where they were in shock over the fact i did not have antibiotics in me from day one. after port removal. So yeah it is a big choice I have to make. but I have been here on LBT for over 1 year and 5 months So I know these people and they know me. I just want thier advise. Thanks for your wishes.

I feel like crud! I was in the ER all night. They put me on antibiotics. NO I wasnt already on them... I have a hole and my band Dr. did not put me on antibiotics, I asked why this morning, and they said because I didnt need them... Oh good to know I guess LOL
