Hi everyone, Yesterday I was feeling pretty good but now I realize it was because of the Meds I was on and still numb feeling from the surgery it self. Also my Dr. gave me a shot to numb my port area for 6-8 hours.. To help with the drive home. Today I am In so much pain. I have pain in my OLD port area and in my NEW port area. As you know I had my port replaced due to a leak. I ask my Dr. to also move my port down a little because it was sitting right under my ribs and rubbing on them when I sat down for long periods of time. This made it hard to drive without wiggling in my seat. My Dr. also gave me a fill of 2cc's while I was under, which scared me very much that he did that. But he was smart and numbed my port area really good and that allowed me to make an visit to his office on the way home for him to check on me. I was able to drink Water and also able to fill it go down but I wasnt to tight. He didnt go anywhere near my band so being swollen was not considered at all... Im still good I was able to eat last night and able to feel my band is there. Thats my port story! Also you probably all remember me complaining about bad stomach pain. Not like real tummy pain but in my muscle area twards the surfce of my skin. Well he called it a Intusion ( i think thats what he said, i dont even know if thats a word lol) Anyway its a large mass of tissue growth. Right where the tubing went thourgh my muscle is where I had the tissue growth. When I moved werid, had bloating, stretched wrong.. it would feel or even maybe did rip some causing so much pain. He removed most of the tissue revealing my tubing again. I have the pictures... The first one is before and the second one is after.. you cant see the tube, then you can. WARNING: It is very gross... (to me anyway) Looks like some kind of rotten animal fat. You were warned.

WOW you all are Angels!!!!!!! Well Im back home and pretty much still druged up hehehe Im going to hurt tomorrow when all these goodies wear off. I will also post tomorrow what GROSS thing he found causing my stomach pain and to pleasure you all I will even post a picture of it... So heads up better look at it before you eat! LOL Okay Im going to go pass out now, I will catch up on posts tomorrow... Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers You all are a great bunch...

Im getting ready to head out to Colorado today. Tomorrow is my Surgery to replace my port and to check for the bad pain in my mid abs possabily a hernia. I am getting very nervous, but at the same time a feeling of relif that finally I might be back to losing again. I will say this though... I am so proud that band leaky port or not got me under 300lbs. Now I want to get to my next goal.Anyway, Surgery is at 9:00 tomorrow at Health South in Pueblo Co (ugh the drive) and I hope I will be able to come right after pumped with meds. Actually I HAVE to come home tomorrow. Just keep me in your prayers, I am really going to need them. I will try to post as soon as I could, if not Im calling both Jamie and Kelly, they could let you know how I am doing. Bye and Take Care!!!

Im getting a small fill tomorrow and Im glad I am, because right now I can eat a whole house if they would let me! hehe

Lauren, I had the same thing... I ask my Dr. about it and he said it had to do with my Diaphram, that maybe I was sitting weird while I was eatting, or eatting to much, taking to big of a bite, or to big of a glup.. The diaphram gets irritated and you need to burp, and that can cause it to go away. I didnt really do anything about it and it just went away all on its own.

It is very rare that the tubing can get a leak, and they are poking around there to do the fill and that can be the way you get a leak. I hope you dont have a leak but if you do the surgery for it is very easy. They only have to do Local anesthia. I am getting my port replaced this Thursday due to a leak but Im going all the way under because I have a possable Hernia that he is going to fix. Let us know the outcome Take Care

I have a leak in my port and i am getting it replaced this Thursday! the way my Dr. found out was he put in 3.0cc's in and nothing I didnt feel it He put in another 3ccs in and still nothing I was able to drink very large gulps of water when I shouldnt have. So Im getting a new port!

Sounds like a blast!!!! I love them paid Holidays... one thing about my hubbys work place is they only pay you when you work the day before and the day after.. if you take off those days you dont get paid... Hey its FREE money thats how I look at it... And WOW Terri you look awsome!!!!! Love your smile!!!!

I think it is very hard to change our eating habits, but at lest the band helps us to do that. And you are NOT a "B" its hard and you will get thourgh it. and I know your hubby understands. Before I had my leak, I would either order my own big plate and take what I didnt eat home to make more meals with it, or I would simply take bites off my hubby's plate.. we would order something we both liked.

I have tiny burps when I drink, when I eat.. everything... My husband and my family call me FROGGER lol
