I normally stay in CO Springs when I go see Dr. Smith, but this time I think we will stay in Pueblo either way ... again if anyone wants to have lunch let me know...

I wish I could but I am 4 hrs to the North. Maybe another time when I have a day off. Would love to go to either Pueblo or Colo Springs -- alot to do over that way.

I am very new to the list. I live in Pueblo and Dr. Smith did my surgery. I was banded on 11/3/05. Does anyone go to a support group in the area? What is a good one to go to?

Hi terri, Dr. Smith is my Dr too and I travel to Pueblo from Albuquerque. I know they did at one time have a support group right there at Corwin on Tuesday nights.. You might want to call Dr. Smith's office and talk to Carla, she will know more about it. I know Nikki was in charge of it.. not sure anymore though.

Thanks for the info. I will call and find out. No one has mentioned a group to me as yet. I am just curious, how long was it before Dr. Smith let you add soft food? I will be 3 weeks post op tommorrow and I am still on full lqs. Maybe I am rushing, but my next appt is not until 12/22, he said we would discuss it then. When did you have your first fill?

I think I was able to add mushies 3 weeks out.. and My first fill was 2 months after my surgery. It hard for me to get out there sometimes because of traveling.. I will be out there again the middle of December to have my port replaced. I have had 5 fills and I have a leak so thats why Dr. Smith is replacing it. You can also call Carla and ask her if you can start mushies.. it never hurts to ask.
