Does iced tea count as Water? I get about 100 oz of that a day usually. But I have noticed that while my body may love carbs...it doesn't like them. So I have had to really try to restrict on my carbs for the most part to see if that helps get me out of this slump.

Sorry to hear that that happens to most all of us. With those internal stitches there it is almost inevitable.. Take it easy and good luck

Mine was just to check vitals, incisions, how i was feelin, report on surgery, and mainly to chech for dehydration.

I had meetings just 4 weeks post-op & they supplied chicken wraps....that's exactly what I did...opened it & ate the meat & cheese! May not be ideal...but We have to be able to adjust to everyday situations! Good luck!

Hey just giving you an update I had my surgery this morning and so far tolerating it well. Im so happy I did it. Remain positive your mental state keeps you strong. Good luck

Good for you!! I keep hoping I'll get a call today moving my surgery up. Lol.

New to the post, I'm having my surgery tomorrow at 9:45! I'm a self pay with Dr Thomas Borland in New Iberia Louisiana (about two hours from my home). $9800 - I went in for a consult Jan 8, and got my surgery date. No pre-op diet, just Clear Liquids today and some gross liquid to drink tonight. I have a friend who had hers with Dr Borland and she's 67 lbs down in 4 1/2 months! I am so excited! I can't wait for results like that!

I'm Tuesday and have been on a liquid pre-op diet since Tuesday. I am not gonna lie...it sucks! But it's doable. Hungry makes me hangry I've noticed, so that's not real pleasant. But overall, in a couple of weeks I am hoping to see the value in it. My Crystal Light and sugar free popsicles have been my saving grace. And I'm not a sweets person. Ha! The one cup of broth is good too.

Hello All! I was sleeved by Dr. James Davidson at Forest Park Medical on May 19, 2011. I started at 220 lbs the day of my surgery. I lost twenty pounds prior to surgery. I'm currently 148 lbs and loving it! I wouldn't trade my sleeve for anything. Going into my second year, so if you have questions please feel free to contact this Garland TexAs resident.

I know that vanity does play a part in my decision. It is not the sole reason. I do want to feel better. Being overweight is very hard on my body. My feet hurt all the time. It's a lot of work to carry all this weight around. And while I don't have diabetes or high blood pressure or anything else, I know that I will. Not only does it run in the family, but my weight getting out of hand is only a precursor to my health getting out of hand. Not to mention my most important reason...my daughter. She is built like her Father's side of the family and several of them are morbidly obese. She is young enough now that I still have a chance at setting a good example and teaching her healthy habits. But yes, I do want to feel pretty again. And be able to wear all the cute clothes that I used to be able to wear. LOL
