Thank you:). I take Prilosec but I'm thinking I'm going to have to double up on it too. It's an awful feeling.

Sleeved on July 22. Came home on Wednesday. Really no pain. Some occasional gas discomfort but nothing bad. I was getting all my Protein in yesterday. Still trying to get all my liquid in though. Working on it every minute. A little emotional today. All of a sudden weeping over I don't know what. Not much of a crier, so not liking this at all. My poor hubby keeps asking what he can do. Does the emotional stuff go away soon?

Just checking in with you July sleevers. I was sleeved July 19th. I ended up spending 2 nights in the hospital. Honesty I would have stayed 3 if they wanted me to. I had the best nurses. The day of surgery I weighed 277. As of today, 7 days from surgery I weigh 263. I'm so happy. I'm a little on the tired side but I'm doing day by day. It's the best thing you could ever do for yourself. You will be amazed at what an incredible journey it is. Congrats and sending wishes for a speedy recovery. Get up and walk as much as you can this afternoon and follow dr.'s orders. I'm excited for you!

Down 86lbs!

Today is my 6th day since surgery. I'm feeling so much better. The pain is almost all gone. I'm still pretty tired and weak but everyday I'm improving. I'm down 21lbs since the first day of my pre op diet, which was July 9th. I'm just taking it day by day. Any questions, feel free to ask or email me @ jenray83@yahoo.com

Just thought I'd share my results so far! Highest weight was 270, pre-op I was 246 and I'm now 205. I love my sleeve! Here's some pictures!

Yes I was!! I also was told that some people tolerate things better than others!! I didn't say I was ready for a steak. Geez.... I was just asking if the mushy stage was an option earlier for some than others!! Never mind that I posted.... I'll just call my Dr!!

As repetitive and annoying as it may be to read the same question over and over again I must admit that it was that dreaded 3 week stall that made me seek out more information and brought me onto this site. While my Dr did tell me that stalls were inevitable I did not expect it to happen so soon and all the while my calorie intake was 250-350 daily.
I subconsciously believed that my body was somehow broken to begin with as I have never responded well to changes in diet and increases in exercise. I was terrified that I would be the one and only person that would go through this surgery and STILL not lose weight and regain mobility. I can not tell you what a source of comfort it was for me at the time to see so many people posing the exact questions that were plaguing me. And even more comforting were the responses from the Veterans telling us newbies "hey, I have been there, it can last a few weeks, but trust me it will get better." ... and it has

Really people are searching for answers. So you can't fault them for that. I was never told by my dr very much about anything and have learned quite abit from others posting about stalls and such. And since I use my phone I only read recent threads.

I don't have RA but I have lupus another autoimmune disorder. Had surgery in Oct 12 I've been off my lupus meds since. My labs have been normal and lesser episodes of joint pain.. surgery or should I say weight loss helped control my lupus best thing I ever did..

I'm not sure what pre surgery diet you are doing but I have not has trouble with mine so far and I started it last Wed. I guess I thought you had to be strict with the diet so I haven't cheated at all. I kind of feel like this is a big decision and doing this diet is just only a stepping stone to get to the surgery. It's a huge like change and I think one should really think about it before deciding to do it. If you are serious about losing weight then you can do it. Stay strong!
