  1. I had my sleeve on Jan 9 in Fl. We spend the summers near Flint. Does anyone know if there are any support meetings in the area?
  2. I'm in Largo. Did any of you Florida sleevers use Dr Jessee?
  3. Mine has a $1,000 fee. I paid it as she is the best around here. I have had no problem since I got my sleeve Jan 9.
  4. I was sleeved Jan 9 and with the prediet I have lost 35lbs! Yea me. I love my sleeve.
  5. I had my sleeve Jan 9. I am down 21 lbs since the surgery and 35 lbs total. I am very happy. I get all my protein and vits in. I still have trouble getting all my liquids in. I went out to eat 4 times last week and still lost 2lbs! I first for me.
  6. I was also sleeved on the 9th. I work all day to get in 600 calories. I am not getting enough liquids in. I have to wait 60-90 minutes between eating and drinking so it's really hard to get them all in. After I got a vit B-12 shot, I felt so much better and now have a lot more energy. Good luck to you.
  7. WOW, you look great, keep up the work!
  8. I got a bad hive like rash on my stomach and legs right after the surgery. It lasted about a week. I took Benadryl and that helped with the itch. I call my doctors office a few times about it and they weren't very concerned, just said it would go away with time.
  9. You look great! Keep up the good work
  10. My BMI was 37 when I had my sleeve done on Jan 9. I had gained and lost 25-30 four times in the previous 10 years, each time gaining a few more. I beleave this is the only way for me to keep it off forever.
  11. I had my sleeve on Jan 9 and with the prediet I have lost 26lbs! and lots of inches! I'm doing will on mushy foods and will move on to soft reg foods next week. I'm still not getting in enough liquids.
  12. I started my pureed meals yesterday and did find with my homemade chicken salad and mashed up cooked carrots.
  13. I'm 5'3 and at my hight 211. At almost 3 weeks out I am 187 and hope to get down to 125-140.
  14. This is happening to me also. My doctor told me to only drink half the shake in the morning. So now I get up and drink a whole cup of tea with milk and then I drink half my shake. I am drinking smaller amounts thru out the day. I have been feeling better. Today I also had 2oz of cream of wheat after the tea.
  15. I am 62 and I had my sleeve on Jan 9. I'm doing great so far. My MI/Blue/Cross paid for it. I'm a slow looser but that's OK as it took a long time to put all this weight on. Wish I had done it earlier.
  16. I had my surgery the 9th too and I have only lost 8lbs I think you are doing really well! I am tired too. I am finally able to get my protein in but I am still not getting enough liquids. I have 3 more weeks until I can even think about eating real food. I think slow but sure it the way to go, everyday I do feel better!
  17. The TKR is much harder than the Vgs, I wish I had done the Vgs first.
  18. I had my sleeve done on the 9th and feeling pretty good. I still have lots of gas. I have a hive like rash all over my belly? Is this normal? It doesn't itch. I am only using tylenol right now. I think my biggest problem is I'm not eating or drinking nearly enough. It seems like I am spending the whole day eigher trying to eat, drink or getting the vitimins in. I don't think I have had more than 200 calories since the surgury. How long does this last??? I think I am weak from lack of food. Nothing tastes good and I am not hungary.
