What advice are they giving you??? Whats the cautionary tale. Have they pple been banded longer than you. Have they been successful or not as successfull as you.. My 2 cents - I don't go to mine #1 cuz it's too far away and it's on my exercise night and 2 girls there were I can't do this or than and it's very small - for me I found that my Lucky #7 and 50 + and LBT in general was all the support I needed. It depend on what you want - abd what you get out of them...

Yvonne - Yep every single doc here is different - I only had to do 1 week pre-op 7/8 to 7/17 - my doc supplied the food - oatmeal - shake - Soup - Protein Bars - the soup was awful (they were out of a lot of stuff the day I got my food) so I called and asked if I could have a piece of fish and salad for dinner as I wasn't going to be able to hang with the awful tomatoe soup - they said ya it was ok just stay away from the carbs.. I was lucky - plus I have read that it takes more that 1 week of pre-op to shrink your liver and during that week I still had my colonoscopy to do so that was a clear liquid no food day besides the clear liquid no food before surgery.. I have a gf who has surgery on Friday - she too had to do 6 month diet and has lost 60 lbs in those 6 months and she feels that it has helped prepare her for her new lifestyle.. The only thing I can really tell you is that this is not a diet but a lifestyle change and the band is only a tool - those are the 2 most important things to realize before surgery - There are some who think that the band alone is going to do all the work - well that's a falsehood - the work is up to you the band is only a piece of plastice - it doesn't have a brain Good Luck on your journey - you are learnig new habits which will help you once you are banded. I agree - in watching Lieberman last night and he has switched - well really and independant - but for McCain - Wasn't there a guy at the DNC who was Republican and switch.. That's interesting that it's the 10% flip flops that win the race.. And I can say in the past that I have been the flip flop I have voted Republican it's not just the party thing for me..

Pple seem to ignore that when Clinton came into office our bank account was in the red from bush sr - when he l(clinton) left office we were in the black - both bushes - seem to like the color red better than black... cuz we are right back in the red again.. And it's your interpretation as to what the book of revelations means - again it was written by man - don't get me wrong I believe in God - it's just like politics - it's your interpretation.. To each their own. As for having to serve in the military in order to be President - That's BS What does taking order have to do with the price of tea in china - shooting a gun - most of our military are grunts - they aren't officers so would that be the next requirement only officers could be president - As to being Lapband - we talk alot about life in general - I really don't think here or in person that these discussions are going to change anyone opiionon on who they want to vote for - Do any of you think that you are going to be able to convience someone of the other party to vote your way... Confused here - the USA wasn't here when the bible was written So you think that the world is going to come to an end when a democrate is in office not a repbulication - they are all friggin crooks they all are politicians - we just have to go with what they say - cuz at the end of the 4 yrs nothing they said was going to happend will have happended. PHYL OMG ANOTHER CONGRATS FOR YOU TODAY 30 TO 24 IS FRICKIN GREAT !!! AND FOR $6.75 WHAT A STEAL - YOU GO GIRL !! Froggi - someone on the web was saying that the baby wasn't her's but her daughters baby - that's how this all got started. The party had to but the truth out there - McCain knew all this when he picked her. What are they going to judge Palin about - cuz her daughter got pg ?? Come on you aren't to far out of your teens yourself - did you do what your mommy told you to do.... For me it's been quite a few years since I was a teen and can tell you I did what I wanted to do not what my parents said..

Steph 940 calories - too low on a daily basis - I always varied them still do - some days less some days more. I bet you will like the rides.. McCain has the same NV on the issues too except the stimulus pkg They were both out trying to get nominated as their parties presidential candidate and truely their one vote wasn't going to be a tie breaker.. Project Vote Smart - Senator John Sidney McCain III - Voting Record Also Barack isn't going to have the same number of votes as McCain as he hasn't been in the Senate as long as McCain..

I was 15 when I got pg - 16 when I had my son - My Father wouldn't allow me to marry (my Dad was a Republican) - Did that make my Dad a bad Dad from what I did - Nope.. Do I think it's a wise choice as a VP candidate... Don't know.. Time will tell..

Watching the RNC - Laura Bush is talking so gotta go and see what she has to say - The poor Republican's and the hurrricane... Well have done ok - 2 egg omlett with cheese & salsa for bf - then 10 chips & salsa - crystal light - 1 oz cheese 2 crackers - 1 cup bean soup broth. Dramabean (sp) less drowsy - take it the day before you go and agian the day you go.. I don't get sick on rollercoaster - sometime in cars or airplane and boats - the trick with the dramabean is to take it 24 hours before you need it - I have done that and it did help... I remember you saying that you were going - I thought your Mom was getting her surgery in Sept so maybe it was the trip that was happening in september :smile:

I agree 100% - this is how I lost 100% of my excess weight - Plus you gotta add exercise in the mix too.. I also weighed and measured food and kept a food diary for the 1st year

Steph Sorry DH & you are having a bad day - sometimes it's just that way - you know men pms too :smile: I am lucky my little angel is like a cat - she doesn't require too much attention - Lil Bear is the one who likes to play fetch and wants more attention and he's my runner - don't leave the door open or he's out the door - Angel will go out but come back/stop when you tell her to - Bear want's to go mark up the neighborhood.. Diff between boy & girl i guess. OK gang - I want to eat - I have had 2 egg omeltte with cheese and my homemade salsa and now 10 chips and salsa - it seems like when I start to eat I just want to continue... But I just paid bills and don't have the $$$ to go shopping so can't get out of the house and distract myself with that - and no ones here - well I guess I will surf the net and board for a while to keep myself out of the kitchen... From what I can tell - it is a fact based site and it helps with the BS that both side put out - or what one person says depending on their political view. Now a days it's hard to get an unbiased opinion any subject. I really don't think any of us have the time to peruse either candidates voting recorders or parental lineage.. So we have to base our votes on what we get from the media - which IMHO is skewed most of the time. If you choose to vote Republication Great - If you choose to vote Democrat Great - That's what the USA is about - to be able to vote for the person you feel will serve you best in office. It's not about putting anyone down for their beliefs. We all are entitled to our personal beliefs and it doesn't make you right or me wrong - it just means that we have a diff of opinion...

What are you eating - are you tracking your calorie are you exercising Your band is only a tool - it doesn't make your food choices for you - it doesn't exercise for you.. You have to do these things.. Do you have restriction how much are you able to eat per meal .

Nope !!! Hockey Mom as President nope - what 2 yrs experience as Governor.. What credence does it give her that she has a handicapped child or son that went to Iraq ... Big whop - how many other women in this world have the same issues - does that make them right to be VP or president.. I don't think so.. I think this was a move on McCain's part to distant his self from the same old republican party = trying to get the Hillary vote. Hey Beth - Congrats on your 105 lbs - Great job... Yep you young ones (You, Karri & Steph) can be our runners - I don't really aspire to be one - am happy with my walking and weight training :0)... Bat wings - fact of life - sorry to say - working out will help some but DNA is the one that's going make that call - for me it will be surger - but who knows when - $$$ - maybe in the next year ...
