    My protein bar rankings

    I will only eat Quest bars because when you read the ingredients, they have the fewest amount and it is all understandable. Only other one like it is the Simple Bar but they don't have enough protein. Other major plus is Quest bars have 17grams of much needed fiber. Also, Quest bars only have between 3-5 net carbs. All the rest have 17-25 carbs. GNC has buy 2 get one free plus a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $20. So 9 bars for just a little over $10. I keep going in a few times a week. I usually buy directly from Quest but a box of 12 is $25. The GNC deal right now can't be beat. New white chocolate raspberry are delicious!

  4. Me too. My entire stomach actually passed through the diaphragm and moved above my heart. My whole stomach was in mychest between my boobs. No wonder I started throwing up before surgery. I hear once it gets there it can twist and then you have to have emergency surgery. My doc used absorbable mesh on both sides of my diaphragm to seal it up.
  5. I just got Strivectin total body this week from QVC. I have only used it for 3 days says I will see results in 2 weeks. Using it onmy lower stomach, elbows and top of knees. Firming neck cream came with it.

    I love being on my fitness pal to read other sleever's diet everyday. Helps with ideas. Find the MFP screen name thread. Add them as you friend and you can keep track of yourself while suppoting each other.

    Oh oh oh, its MAGIC!

    On the Kim Pop website there is a "store locator" I put in my zip code and found 3 stores that carry them. About 20 minutes away. I bought original, onion, blueberry cinnamon and wheat. I use laughing cow cheese, sugar free apricot preserves, PB2, and once in awhile a little nutella.

    Heels ?

    My primary care doctor doesn't even know I had the sleeve yet. My GYN wrote the support letter. I saw my regular doctor a few weeks before surgery for bronchitis and didn't tell her. When I mentioned it six months earlier she had a fit. Wait till I go in at three months and ask her to run my blood work. She is going to flip out. I am going to laugh. Always more than one way to skin a cat.

    In need of nighttime snack ideas

    I atempted to dry fry some firm tofu tonight. Jusy plain until a lot of the mositure out and it started to brown. I put in fridge and was just hungry for something and a little short on protein so I mixed greek plain yogurt with taco seasoning. Then dipped one of the little tofu squares in it. It was pretty good. Plus I am not hungry any more.

    When I did the South Beach diet I did the ricotta, spleda packet and tsp of vanilla. But that almond extract from Adkins sounds good too!

    What is this hurting?

    I told my husband today that it feels like someone punched me in the stomach. Just started today..day 15. Very uncomfortable.
  19. Sleeved on 3/12/13 SW 210 CW 196 GW for June 21st is 170 Although the scale hasn't moved in 5 days and it has only been 15 days since surgery. I am also going to Europe in May for two weeks and hope it doesn't hurt my efforts!

After a lot of research last week, mostly because my omega 3 capsules are now too big for me to swallow Krill oil by Red Fish was the most recommended thing on the market and I ordered a 90supply from amazon for $20. Nice that it is so small! When doing my research, I did not see anything from doctor OZ but a lot of articles stating it it the better Omega.

    Add ins to greek yogurt!

    My local Giant grocery store sells it. It is on the top shelf above the regular peanut butter. I never look at the top shelf until hearing about it. It is however a little cheaprr at amazon and they also sell bigger jars of it. I put it in my smoothie with greek yogurt and chocolate protein powder. My kids like it too.

    Post op march sleevers

    I didn't have a drain. Surgery on the 12th and incision sights are almost healed. I showed a friend Saturday night and she couldn't believe it. I have my scar away strips ready to go as soon as 100% healed. My incision from my tubal looks worse than the sleeve sights.

    11 days post op...

    I was sleeved on the 12th. I am down 14 pounds. I was on 7 days of clear liquids. On Tuesday was allowed yo start pureed. Didn't go so well. But on Wednesday, instead eating the greek yogurt, I blended it with 1 cup of skim milk, 2 tbs of PB2, 2tsps of fiber powder, 1 scoop of chocolate protein pwder and about 6 ice cubes. It is 51 grams of protein. Takes me a while to drink. I por a small glass and put the rest in the fridge till I need a refill. I had pureed canned chicked but hard to eat straight up. So I mix an 1/8 cup of the chicken with a quarter cup of reduced fat cream of chicken soup. I have also been having 1/4 cup of low fat ricotta, a little parmesan cheese and make it very liquidy with tomato sauce. Stick it in the microwave for about 1 minute. I have been having between 60-70 grams of protein/day. So thrilled to be off the clear liquid protein drinks. I hated them! I went to a party tonight. Had two bottles of water and a little scoop of mashed potatoes. Literally the only thing at the party to eat. Although there were deviled eggs I was affraid to try an egg in public. Just in case. I read they are hard to handle in the begining. I also like plain water but have been enjoying an assortment of herbal and green teas. I am trying a celestial laxative herbal tea right now. Hope it gets things moving. That is the reason I added the fiber powder too. Oh and today I added about 5 oz of low sodium hot and spicy V-8 juice.
