Congrats! I know the feeling although I have not had my surgery yet.. (10/17 is the date for me). I have sizes in my closet ranging from 14 to 6. I have yo yo'd so much over the past 5 years. I think I can wing it til I get to below a 6. Then I plan to go raid my daughters closet. She lost down to a 0 without surgery. I'm thinking this is a little advantage for me.

We will do this! Good luck gf.... I'll try to check in asap after surgery as well. I am so ready for this. You will be in my prayers deltatrans44. My surgery will be at 7:30 but will take a little longer than normal. They have to reverse my nissen fundoplication. For those of you who do not know what that is... it is where they wrap a portion of your stomach around your esophagus in order to control reflux. It seemed to have come undone. The liquid diet has not been bad for me. I have am on "clear" liquids for 6 days now and am not hungry yet (thanks to the nissen fundoplication) but would like to have something good to eat before surgery... nope.. I won't break this liquid diet.... just dreaming...lol Good luck to all of us having our sleeves done this week! Happy Sleeve Day!

My Dr. says I should be able to leave the same day. My surgery is Wed @ 7:30. He said he will do the swallow text before I leave. It all depends on how I feel and how he feels at the time. Ins. covers an overnight stay or two. I am trying to decide if I should just tell him I want to stay.. or just go home. Guess we will see at the time. I have used this surgeon for stomach surgery before for reflux and am very confident in him.

I am on day 5 of a clear liquid diet. I have lost 7 lbs! I hope we are both fast losers.... although I will be happy just to lose this weight steady over time. My surgery is Oct 17th.. 3 days to go! Good luck..

I love your blog... you are an inspiration to me. Congrats on your success. I am 59 and scheduled for my sleeve on 10/17.... 3 more days! I am so excited to start my new life too! Thanks for doing your blog and helping others make the right decisions.

WOW.. congrats on your weight loss girls... and Danielle congrats on your engagement. I wasted a huge portion of my adult life being and battling being overweight. I was even so ashamed that I stopped visiting family and have lost contact with many of them. Of course it doesn't help when they say something stupid like..." boy you are gaining weight" or "you sure are getting fat" etc... like I don't already know that! Anyway, I get sleeved in 3 more days so hopefully things will get better. As far as things to do... I teach scuba, another thing I have cut back on because of weight issues, but I still love to scuba dive. We have a scuba club here in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX that includes several women that have been sleeved or are using HCG to lose a lot of weight. It is nice to see I am not alone in the scuba world. So maybe even try scuba if you enjoy the Water. There are so many things you will learn to enjoy... I love going on Disney trips with my grand kids and even without them. Disney has so much to be involved in while on the cruise. You could make that a fun reward for yourself after such a weight loss. What are things you think you would like to do? Any dreams?

Congrats and wishing you a speedy recovery. My sleeve with be next Wed. 10/17. I also just came off a cruise and ate so much I don't mind doing my liquid diet now... just wish is was not only clear liquids... Good luck everyone.

KaylaBabb, Good luck on your liquid diet. I am on day four of a "clear" liquid diet. I only have to do 7 days but no shakes or anything that is not clear. I just can't imagine 30 days of liquid before the surgery. My friend had to do 6 weeks liquid. Ohh I love my Dr. lol We will make it girl.... my surgery is next week. When is yours?

Minimo... you are doing great! I am so happy for you. It will be a new adventure for you... happy trails. How have you been since your surgery? Mine is next week and I hope for a speedy recovery for me and everyone else.
