  1. Prayers for you Bindi and all of the others having surgery today... I am lagging by a day.. tomorrow is my day!
  2. Congrats to both of you... The journey may be long and hard but look where you are now! That is just awesome! I start my journey tomorrow.(sleeve day) and hope I can do as well as you two. You are my new roll models... thanks.
  3. Congrats!! That is awesome! You are doing sooooo good. Can't wait to hear when you reach your goal. Keep up the good work!
  4. It is now 24 hours until I get my sleeve. Go Me!! I am so excited I can't stand it. I am not nervous or scared. I have a wonderful Dr. that I have used before. He did my Nissen Fundaplication a couple yrs ago. It has come almost totally undone. No fault of his. I had a lot of vomiting over the yrs that caused that I'm sure. They will have to undo all of that and repair another hernia before doing the sleeve. The post op for the first few weeks is very much like the post op of the Nissen so I have been there and know what to expect of this. I thank God for this procedure. I pray for a safe surgery and fast recovery, not only for myself but for all of us having this done.
  5. I just want to mention that tomato soup is very acidic. I can't tolerate it now and I haven't been sleeved yet (will be tomorrow :-)) It has always given me horrible indigestion. Anyway, might think about not having foods that harsh just yet... just sayin,
  6. Congrats! I have mine tomorrow and I think I got myself into something that will change my life for the better. I am excited for you. Now you can join us on the Oct. sleevers. See ya on the losers bench!
  7. Sending prayers your way! Good luck... I'm right behind you.. I go tomorrow.... and yes, it does feel like Christmas Eve.
  8. Congrats and prayers coming your way... I am right behind you, mine is tomorrow.... see ya on the losers bench!
  9. I know what you mean about the scars. I have 5 from my nissen fundiplication I had a couple years ago and a nice longer scar from gall bladder surgery 30 yrs ago. Not to mention a couple more small scars. Nope, I will NOT be wearing a bikini. LMBO but at age 59 I don't think I should be anyway. TOMORROW is the day! I can't wait. Trying to get last minute things done today. I am so ready for this.. just excited not worried or scared. Can't believe it is finally here. *****doing the happy dance all day today*****
  10. sorry to hear this... My prayers are with you. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
  11. might help to try and eat something to absorb some of it. Vitamins have always made me sick. I try taking them with food and it helps.
  12. My daughter is in Phoenix... AZ is beautiful.... not nervous yet, just ready to get it done.... how about you?
  13. Sorry for the delay. You will get it done. Maybe they will call you back again with a cancellation and a earlier date.. never know.
  14. I have been told by more than one Dr that compression will help. What it helps the most is compressing the fat. My Dr. had me use a girdle... that's what we called them way back then... after having my children. I did lose the tummy fat and extra skin really fast. So I am not so sure using compression does not help. I think it does.
  15. Congrats Ashmarquez !!! that is fabulous. It just amazes me as I read how much people are losing in such a short time. Good luck on the rest til goal. You are beautiful!
  16. nice.. lucky you... mine are all clears.... Good luck with it. Really it is not that bad.. not even the clears.
  17. Have you had a sleep study? If you have sleep apnia and you very well could, then that is one of the ones that helps qualify you. Ask your Dr about it. It may help your case. Some signs of sleep apnea are .. snoring, stop breathing in your sleep for a few seconds and waking up a lot at night. Just sayin.....
  18. You are not alone... I too will get sleeved day after tomorrow... 10/17. I am excited but not scared. Maybe a little nervous.. for no reason. I love this forum as well. So many people to talk to that have already been there. It sure has helped ease my nervousness. Good luck to you and I will keep you in my prayers along with all of us getting sleeved this week.... Let's getter done!
  19. Good to hear you are doing so well and have such a great attitude. Have a safe trip home....
  20. Thanks DebinAZ.. good luck to you as well. Are you from Az? I assume..
  21. I am also having a nissen fundiplication reversed. My Dr. has me on a 1 week "CLEAR" LIQUID DIET. I can have anything clear except alcohol or carbonated drinks. he said to put a little unflavored protein in my clear chicken broth or my drinks. I am doing great on the diet... day 6 today. 1 more day then on Wed. I have the surgery.
  22. Congrats! that means less time to stress over it. Liquid diet is not that bad. I get sleeve in 2 days!
  23. We don't know the entire story. Maybe she has been battling weight for awhile. Up and down. Maybe she lost some pre-op? I'm just saying I yoyo a lot. I have hit 198 a couple times.. (now is one of them) but lost down last year to 145 and believe me after fighting for over 30 years with my weight I would have jumped at the chance to do this even at 145 lbs. Now I am only 5' tall so it all shows. just sayin... Good luck vssupermodel. I hope it will all be worth it. Just remember as said above, it takes longer when you have less to lose. Be patient.
  24. Mine is 7:30 on the 17th... good luck to both of us! Prayers to all those being sleeved today!... Good luck and see ya on the loser's bench .....
