  3. Hello, I was sleeved on Sep.7th, 2013. I am 7 months post-op and have gone down from 232 pounds to 153 pounds that's 80pounds since surgery. This Sunday I found out I'm pregnant and eventho I'm excited I'm also very concerned since I can't eat enough for one person let alone another human being. I also have struggled with my water intake and protein. But anyways... I have questions for anyone who has been sleeved and been pregnant! can u share with me your experience, your struggles, the weight gain, the weight loss after birth, was it easy was it hard... etc... Thankyou!!!
  4. its been a little over a week since my 6 month Post op! My surgery weigh in: 232 surgery date: 9/07/2012 Today I weigh: 158 pounds!!! that's over 70 pounds lost! I'm so proud of myself! I was at a stall for nearly a month, I was exhausted but I finally have a huge smile on my pretty face. :-D

    Why?

I was the complete opposite. After surgery, (6 months ago) I got soooo full with just a sip of water. Once I was able to switch to puree, yes u get even fuller. But fluids NORMALLY don't make u full because its not thick and it doesn't take a long time to pass thru ur stomach.
  6. update: I've been in a 3 weeks stall!! surgery weight: 232 on 9/07/2012 current weight: 165 on 2/26/2013 I'm almost 70 down, but I know I need to spend up my cardio! have u guys gone back on your liquid diets? let me know if it works and what what you guys do to avoid temptations! Thankyou!!

Do you ever regret your surgery?

I have no regrets! I should have done it sooner. But those feelings are part of the process and remember that that was also an addiction.

    I really need help/orientation

Hello Ms. okay, ummm... I want to be very honest as you have been.. You are known for eating a lot and not caring if you're thin or not. You are unsure if you want to have surgery------> I think you might need to talk to your surgeon and reschedule your surgery date for another day. You need to think long and hard if this is what you want. Let me tell you there is not one person here that has regretted this amazing new lifestyle, but I agree with you, if this isn't what you want, PLEASE don't make the mistake of going thru with it. Here's what I deal with: protein shakes, 2-4oz of food! compared to the full entree, I used to eat. I still get embarrased when my bf and I go out to eat because he's still eating and I'm done eating haha, also; there are a lot of food restrictions your body will not tolerate. For example for me: boiled/steamed veggies, any meat, and; rice, pastas, breads! within months we'll be able to eat these foods, but I'm choosing to be vegan as for I just decided I didn't need to eat meat. see what I mean, and a lot of us any like this!! So make sure you do it for you and not your parents! best of luck!!!

    New lifestyle- Vegan!

Hello! soy products are honestly not bad at all! although I can say that I don't like soy milk. Since surgery, my sleeve has rejected anything that's not raw green and veggies. Even certain veggies I can't have, like brocolli unless its eaten raw. I love tofu, its my substitution for meat and a great Protein source. But other than this, I eat plenty of hearty salads and if you're creative enough with your plate, you should be just fine!
