  1. Good luck and have fun! My daughter is morbidly obese and some times I have a tough time knowing how to express myself and not hurt feelings. She was banded years ago with me and it NEVER worked for her. She won't consider being sleeved. :-(
  2. Sadly.. This guy is going to have all the Lil' b i t c h e s running to get this brand just so they can feel better about themselves by putting others down. Their shallow souls thrives on it
  3. Everyone needs a friend like her
  4. Isn't not being able to eat a lot .. A good thing? I mean isn't that why we had the surgery? I don't want to ever eat much. One day, I will eat more because that's the norm of the sleeve.. But by then I will have programmed myself for a better lifestyle. Right now, you're too early to expect to eat much. you need to concentrate on getting protein and fluids and not whether you'll ever eat a lot. You will. It will all work out in time. be patient
  5. My email notification has always been set, yet I don't receive any. I used to, but not for a few months now. Oh, and my surgeon info used to post and for a few months that refuses to save and post. Heh.. Just more to note is all
  6. I agree.. The first stages are pretty much slider foods to get us to the solid stage and that's when your restriction will be felt
  7. Just remember that narcotics will bind you up so ... Don't stay on them unless really necessary
  8. I have told the people I want to tell.. Period. Others I don't tell, don't need to know.. Or I would tell them. If someone asks, which it's 5 months now AND NO ONE HAS, I will tell them.. Whatever I want! PERIOD! And no one here should care if I do or not. I AM NOT ASHAMED, LYING, EMBARASSED OR SOME FREAK . In reality, I do what I want. Ironically... Is there ever a thread called "why tell the everyone"? Seems like its always questioning the people wanting not to.
  9. I just searched the forum for "stricture" and there's a ton of people and info you may find useful.
  10. Welcome you newbies.. I'll admit we sometimes show our snarky, snobby, snotty selves.. But overall we all are just one happy sleeve family. Well, ok.. Maybe not the Cleavers or the Brady bunch, but we have each others backs and definitely are your best support on your journey to a new better you. Plus, we're fun too! We are here because we wanna be... You'll do great!
  11. I went in with the mind set of "I'm going to vacation while I'm here" I told myself I'm not going to have any pain or pain meds to slow me down. I'm going to walk the minutes wake and I did. I did vacation while there and stayed an extra day in MX just to cover all we could then spent another day in San Diego .. Nonstop going! Sometimes where there's a pigheaded enough will... There's a way! Set your mind strong
  12. I drink 5hr energy every morning during my 70 minute commute to work. I mix it with my 32oz water bottle and that's a good start to daily fluid intake.
  13. I will never binge eat again. I refuse to even consider it because that's what I had problems with before surgery. The sleeve is and has to be my new lifestyle and that's what I signed up for when I did it. Having surgery is a pretty desperate measure and I never again want to be desperate with the health of my body and mind. It scares the crap outta me
  14. Yes.. Live it up in MX! I did.. Except a tattoo, I'd pass on. Don't know for a fact if they have any regulations and the last thing you need is a secondary infection.
  15. Looking good.. Nice work!
  16. Maybe next, Wall can get some dental work from a sane dentist
  17. Hell.. I can't imagine a doc making me have a drain for a week! That's crazy! Hope you mentioned that when posting about shoulder pain or some would have questioned if that was possibly the problem.
  18. Oh my goodness .. What a difference! Great job.. You look so healthy?
  19. I don't think that's puréed . Especially, the crackers. Pureed should be as if you're eating first stage baby food. That aside.. You'll feel your restriction when you're able to eat regular meat/protein
  20. Not even 6 weeks out and down almost 30 lbs? Way to go! Look at my sad slow loss.. But I know I'm doing everything right so I'm just going with the flow. I haven't had milk since before surgery. Too many carbs for me and I take a calcium supplement. Hang in there and just do what's healthy for your new life
  21. I don't think I know your story.. And you don't have one on your profile.
  22. You have your mind in the right place. I think you're so in tune with what's right when it comes to what and when. I admire you a lot.. I hope you think the same of yourself.
