Esophageal Lesion Worries
Sheesh.. You almost wrote my post band story! At band removal I weighed 104 and because of the severe damage the band I'd they made me wait 18 months. I gained like pig prepping for slaughter! Wait longer. It's tough, but worth not asking for additional problems as my surgeon warned could happen. Just from reading some of the people here that revised in same day .. They sometime have difficulties if they had previous band problems. Not all, but enough that I'm happy I waited.

Dying to be thin
Not sure why you want to change your name and hide, but ok. I seriously think in order to help you need professional help and there are a lot of options if you research it. I am sorry your VSG failed, but I'm assuming your surgeon has more answers than what you have shared with us. I don't believe there are failed VSG surgeries that can't be corrected.

Subway to the rescue
9 bucks for a salad? Dang, that's a pricey salad in my book.. It better be humongous! BTW, I use Bolthouse Farms yogurt dressing. Tastes the same and only 1/3 the calories.

Did you keep your surgery a secret?
Please people, STOP with the "ashamed, embarrassed and lying" remarks. Just stop! Other than my imediate family, I don't tell people because.. Well, I don't want to. Fairly clear.. Even for the most simpleminded folks out there. Fact is, I stopped riding my bike for a couple years and started riding again. People asked me why I decided to start riding again... And you know what, I didn't tell them I had a hemorrhoidectomy either.. Because well, I just didn't find it their business. I had a breast reduction and people asked me how I lost so much weight .. ( I hadn't) And yep, I didn't tell them about my reduction either. Or about my prolasped uterus surgery, or about my carpel tunnel surgery, or about my gazillion other things in my life that are retardedly boring. Go figure people.. It's one's own business. Not all of us are self promotors and think everyone wants to know about us.

US option - East Coast Sleeve Center
Oops.. Sorry, the site isn't being very friendly today, so my posts are messing up

US option - East Coast Sleeve Center
Umm.. I never said a thing about you or your post. I apologize if you misunderstood my post. My reference was about Dr B joining the forum and well.. Advertising in his subtle ways. Also.. The coincidental timing with you joining is remarkable... Small world!

US option - East Coast Sleeve Center
Oh my! Dr B is a bariatric surgeon boasting..err I mean posting on the forum?!?! Seriously, he may be good for some, but I don't believe he should be "advertising" on here. I, for one, go to MX for the vast experience the surgeons have over the the majority of surgeons in the states. I don't go for the price.. I have a preferred surgeon there.

Can we smoke 6 days after the procedure?
Yep, just as everyone has a right to opine their thoughts, advice, and what-nots in a free society, especially when the OP asks for advice, thoughts and what-nots. Of course.. Hopefully, All in a cordial way

Later on in life...
Not everyone is on omeoprazole regimen. It's just patient specific. I haven't had any regimen pre or post op.

Pills in the hospital?
In the US they don't allow you to bring you're own meds. They feel it's better that they charge you (or insurance) a preposterous amount per pill. Actually, it's so they have control over the medication accuracy at all times.. But they still ridiculously over charge

How many of you have lost hair?
I have very thick hair and 4 months out. My hair is definitely falling out and every time I brush my hair... my heart sinks. I keep reminding myself that no one has ever posted they went bald. Mine is thinning not clumping. After surgery I started the biotin, and I don't see where it has help the hair loss, BUT I have awesome nails now

Is Sugar Toxic?
I wholeheartedly believe this. Especially regarding the artificial sugar being just as bad (if not worse) for the body.

Any seattle sleevers ?
Itsme.. Glad to read you're doing so well! Congrats! And goodness me.. If you don't need the pain meds then tell her so..! Unless it's an OTC pain reliever, Don't let them push narcotics. I'm a firm believer they slow down recovery, or at least slow you down from getting back to normal living. Again.. Glad your doing well, and hopefully we all can gather some day

Insurance Vs Self Pay
Also, there are a few of us who, although we can afford self pay in the states, we prefer our MX surgeon. (and Cordinator)

Insurance Vs Self Pay
My language.. Who said f/u? Not me Yes, I do have US docs who care for me. Anytime I need care in the US I am cared for... Regardless of where my surgery was. Problem with many US docs is they think they belong on a pedestal. Shame on them. I've had several surgeries in MX and the care I received is far beyond care I've had in the states. I have two bariatric surgeons here in the US and although they are excellent and I'd recommend them, but because of experience, professionalism, and patient care, I prefer my MX surgeon by far

Rewarding yourself...
My 50lbs goal I'll get back on a horse and hope it doesn't groan and when I hit final goal I'm using my $300 4 season spa (downtown Seattle) gift card my boss gave me. I've held on to it in fear they'll claim I'll break the table .. And I'm not kidding you it's a sincere fear of mine..even before this came out http://now.msn.com/laura-smith-told-shes-too-fat-for-massage-table
