    LadyK,
Praying that everything goes smooth for you and that you have a healthy recovery. Let me know how things go for you.

Keep in mind that you can only absorb 30 g of protein at any given time. So if you're using enough powder to get 60 grams in one shake, you're taking in calories without the benefit of being able to use all the protein. Try halving it and spreading the Protein drinks at least one hour apart.

Just keep in mind that you can only absorb about 30g of protein at a time. The excess just gets released in your urine.

Yes they will. You have to have receipt and it must be within so many days, maybe 30. Same with GNC.

Some ideas to try with Protein shakes ... Mix with SF pudding, Greek yogurt (plain preferred), Kroger carb master yogurt, unsweetened almond milk, SF cool whip, SF syrups (davinci or torani), SF Creamer. Some docs and NUT allow fruit (berries preferred because they are lower in sugar than other fruit) and if they do allow it, you'll need to mix with Water rather than milk. Also adding ice and blending seems to make a world difference!!
I have tried quite a few different Proteins brands and flavors and have found that I like to use unflavored Protein so I can mix it up with all the things I mentioned above. Happy experimenting!

Weighed in at 197 this morning! I'm one week shy of my three month mark and I feel great! Some progress...
I actually don't know my starting pant size because I wore sweats the final year before getting sleeved, I didn't wear jeans for probably the better part of two years because I was so ashamed! But the biggest pair I have in my possession is a stretchy pair of 18 pants, but I was at least a 20
Now I'm wearing a size 16 comfortably, with room to spare
Again, with shirts the highest I have is XXL because for the last year up until surgery I wore oversized tee shirts and huge hoodies
Now I'm wearing between a XL/L, depending on what brand it is
It makes me sad to realize I wore the same stuff for a whole year! And sometimes I do get discouraged because I see that with 60 pounds gone I've only changed one shirt and pant size...but then I remember that these new sizes are actual clothes such as jeans and nice blouses, where as before it was sweats and hoodies
So today I'm proud of myself, I'm becoming more and more comfortable each day and I know without the sleeve it wouldn't have been possible! I love my sleeve and I am finally experiencing life instead of watching it pass me by plagued by fear! I think me not being so critical of myself might even be an NSV for me lol!

It really depends on your situation and pain tolerance. I had surgery last Thursday and haven't had any pain medication since last Fri night. That just means that my pain has been tolerable and I wanted to get off pain meds ASAP so I can drive. I'm more sore than in pain and I move a certain way I do have more pain. Rest assured you'll be ok and the doctor will give you a RX for pain meds to help with the pain. Wishing you well this week and a healthy recovery.

Update from sleeve surgical procedure. Doing just fine, pre-op weight 300 lbs., post-op 185, sometimes it hops up to 190, but in time it usually drops down to 185. I am on the road 80 percent of the time, which makes it very difficult to adjust to my new lifestyle of eating. Considering getting a portable hot plate or an induction cooker. Places with stoves are best, then I can prepare the foodstuff. Energy has improved, don't always feel tired like I use to, have vigor and get-up-and-go on most days. In-so-far as health and wellness, blood pressure very good, diabetes exceedingly good, gout gone, elevated cholesterol, prostate trouble that's gone too, and don't have deal with the "little blue pill" any longer.
On the down side, cannot tolerate greasy food, such as fried seafood, highly seasoned stuff, Beans, and other tasty food (I am from the south). There is the social dilemma with loosing much weight so fast, family and friends differences. Foolishness on the job. But this 61 year old takes it all in stride.
We fellow sleever,s that's my chronicle. So far life is great.
    Take care & be well,
    Lash

Congratulations to you and good luck on your journey! A typical day for me is get up at 5am and do a quick 30 minute cardio excercise of some sort, then take my Vitamins and get ready for work. Before I leave, I make a Protein drink with the nectar Protein powder and drink that on the way to work (I have a 45min-1 hour commute). Have either some Cereal or oatmeal for Breakfast usually around 7:30 or so. Have a light snack around 10am (usually either yogurt, string cheese, trail mix, or fruit). Have lunch around 12:30, usually leftovers from dinner the night before. Then another snack around 3pm (usually something with some carbs and Protein like fruit and 2 tbsp of Peanut Butter or cottage cheese and some fruit). I hi to the gym for about 1 1/2 hours after work and do another hour of cardio and 1/2 hour of weights. Make another Protein Drink with the nectar protein for the ride home. Get home clean a little bit or play a sport with the boys outside, make dinner (usually either chicken, turkey or fish for the protein and will have a vegetable & carb of some sort). Get the boys ready for bed and then watch a little tv and relax for a bit. That's a typical day for me. You can feel free to message me if you have anymore questions.
