  1. Congrats enjoy the journey and keep the positive mental attitude. It will get you far.
  2. Everyone seems to be on a different schedule and diet. I would advise you to ask your surgeon what they reccomend.
  3. Today is day 11 for me.
  4. Okay I have a question. I love milk and bought some lactaid to drink. Can someone please tell me is that an okay thing? Does it help to fulfill daily liquid needs? I am so over crystal light packets and sweet fruity drinks.
  5. I was terrified. I was sleeved last Monday Aug 27th. Its almost funny now how much of a basket-case i was. My nurse was really helpful at reassuring me. All of the staff said they would be more concerned if i wasn't scared. It's a pretty big deal what your doing with your body so some concern is normal. Try and think about the future and all you have to look forward to. One of the other patients who was being sleeved the same as me was a smoker. The nurse told her to just wait 24 hours and she could smoke again. Now I'm no medical professional and don't really have a clue, but I do remember her saying that.
  6. Can anyone tell me if it's ok to have lactaid during the liquid diet? I don't know if I'm lactose intolerant yet. I absolutely love milk and just need that taste. I looked at the ingredients and even the low-fat versions have sugar. Is this ok? Also I'm southern and need my sweet tea, or at least something to cure that craving. I bought decaf tea and splenda crystals to sweeten it. Is this ok as well? I have asked a lot of questions this past week. I'm just trying to use any resource I can get to be successful.
  7. I had head hunger like crazy. Just wanted something with flavor. My roommate made a can of progresso minestrone and I had some of the soup part. It totally helped. Salty, seasony, awesomeness.
  8. I think it means taken as a whole pill not diluted etc.
  9. Congrats!! I was sleeved on the 27th. I refuse to weigh myself until my 2 week post op next Tuesday. I have also found I don't crave sweets either. Odd for me considering I was always making some kind of cookie or brownie.
  10. My roommate made progresso minestrone and it smelled like heaven. I had him strain out the broth and I ate that. It was one of the best things I have ever had. Probably because I had been on liquid for two weeks but it was awesome.
  11. Aside from sf jello I cant think of anything that's not dairy, ie yogurt, pudding, cream of wheat etc.
  12. Thanks I was worried because I'm trying to be as successful as i can. I want to make all these great recipes that I'm looking out on eggface, and emmilybites. I just feel I don't know enough yet about my pouch to take that leap
  13. I got a little adventurous last night(my first on mushies), and stopped at taco bell for pintos n cheese. I ate like 3 bites and was trying to figure out how I would know if I were full. I stopped eating out of fear and seemed to be hungry in no time. So tonight I reheated them and started eating, waiting a few minutes between bites. Was able to finish the entire container and still not sure I'm full as I don't know what that would feel like. Is this normal? Most of what I've read people are eating baby spoon-fulls of food and filling up. Advice?
