  2. My doctor said that the younger you are and if you haven't been through any surgery or child birth the more of a whimp you are! So if you have given birth three times it will be a piece of cake! (pun intended I'm craving cake lol!) I didn't think it was bad, I was a bit nauseous but nothing to bad. I was walking 3 hours after surgery, gas pains are bearable. I was very thirsty and all i could do was rinse my mouth out Third day I was suffering from cabin fever and was ready to go home!
  3. I was sleeved 9/3 and would love to hear what others have to say! I haven't weighed myself because I did as soon as I was home from the hospital and I had gained 10 pounds! I was sad but I know it's all the IV so I'm going to wait for the 1 week mark! Keep me posted on your journey!
  4. It wasn't a walk in the park but it wasn't to bad! I only took a week off because I didn't want to go through HR plus they frown upon sick leave but that's all right I feel good! I'm gonna take it slow and pray for patience. I haven't been hungry yet when my mother cooks the smell just makes my mouth water! So I'm ready to go home, to not be tortured by good smelling food! Praying for the best on this journey! Hope to hear from your experience as well!
  5. Thank you for sharing! I'm 3 days post op and I had some nausea from the anesthesia but nothing to bad. I agree the pain is not being able to sleep on your side or tummy! I also suffered from thirst, I drink lots of water and ice chips were heaven!
  6. But I will not weigh myself anymore and just let my body do what it's gotta do! I'm concerned about the swelling because I go back to work on Monday. Mom said to wear loose fitting clothes...hello I had the surgery in part because all my clothes are super tight...lol jk! I'm hopping the swelling goes down a bit.
  7. I forgot to add Impatient Sleeved 9/3 lol!
  8. Hello all! I was sleeved 9/3! Yay! Surgery went without complications! Praise the Lord! I know I am being impatient, but when I got home I weighed myself and was 10 pounds heavier! For those that have been in my shoes, how long before you start to notice a change? How long before the swelling goes down? I have been following the diet to the T and have been drinking my water. I am so excited to continue working on new me!
  9. How jealous! My sleeve can't stand juice! I got apple juice at the hospital and all I could stand was a sip and then I felt sick...it's water for me!
  10. At the hospital now, got my IV ready for show time! Can u share your 48 hour experience?
  11. Thank you for sharing your experience! How long was your recuperation? Weight loss?
