Single... but to shy to mingle

Thank you guys! I know it's all about self esteem and I feel pretty confident! But the insecurities of being overweight so many years and hiding behind my fat. I am a social worker so I work with predominately women, long hours, long days! Pole dancing...I was blushing as I was reading it!
  6. Hello VSG world! I had my surgery September 3, 2012. I have since lost 100 lbs and I am super super happy and excited! I can wear cute clothes, I feel good about myself and I can finally say I am beautiful! But...I am shy! I have been single for a while and feel ready to be loved and hugged. But I can't look at a guy without blushing. And maybe that's why they are not coming close The women at work are very supportive and always say how pretty I look but I want the men to notice and me not be shy enough to flirt! Lol Well I got that off my chest, any tips on flirting?
  7. Hello all! I was sleeved in August and I too am freaking out about my hair falling out! I have such an intimate relationship with my hair, I did hide behind it for many many years! Even people have noticed that my hair is falling out in clumps! Any recommendations? In taking my multivitamin, biotin, and get my protein in...HELP!

    So Upset With Myself

I also carry the same guilt! Once I was freed I are foods high in carbs I haven't told anyone because so many people believe in me and have been helping me through this journey! The amounts are small I am so glad my sleeve won't let me eat more! Thank you for starting this thread it was exactly how I was feeling!

    Missing Person?

I had my surgery in Cd Juarez with Dr Rodriguez. Yes the " the most dangerous city in Mexico!" I never for one second felt unsafe. My insurance would not cover any portion for surgery, zip, zero, nada! I did so much research and I am happy with my decision. I was always with a doctor by my side, the psychiatrist, the surgeons, nurses! They came to my room before surgery, the team met with my parents while I was in recovery. Nurses were so nice and helpful, and checked in on me so much I hardly could sleep! It may not be for everybody but I respect others decisions, bottom line I need to be healthy and this was the choice for me!
  10. I'm on full liquids and as of Monday my doctor added creamy soups. Anybody have to do the same? The cream of everything made for me is nasty so much that I rather not eat but because I'm not eating as much I noticed a slow down in my weight loss. Any suggestions?
