  1. I was sleeved the same day and have lost 33 pounds. Seems like you are doing well to me.
  2. Congrats. Time will fly by! It is perfectly normal to feel nervous. Just ask lots of questions and be informed. Good luck!
  3. It took 15 days for mine. I have Cigna Envoy.
  4. Personally I did not have any issues after my gall bladder surgery, I just felt soooo much better! Hope you feel better soon!
  5. 30 day shred is pretty good and it only takes 30 minutes
  6. It wont be long till you are on the Losers bench with the rest of us!
  7. Hey there! I know that it is difficult right now and right about now was when I asked myself for the 2nd time "What on earth have I done to myself?" I know that it is frustrating and almost even nauseating, but I promise that this phase will be over soon. No real ideas about other things to eat, maybe just change up the way that you prepare it. It wont be long!!! I promise! thinking of you!
  8. Look at you! Beautiful! Keep up the good work!
  9. Hope things turn out ok and that you will be able to have the revision done on the 1st. Keep us updated
  10. I am 6 weeks out as well and I have noticed a decrease in my intake but I have not had any vomiting. Hope you feel better soon.
  11. No insight for you but just wanted to say congrats! How exciting!
  12. Yes I am blessed to have a helper. We live in Peru, South America and we are missionaries so we are always so busy so her cooking for me (and cleaning my toilet) has really helped so much. The problem comes now that Peruvian food is laden with rice and potatoes so I have to teach her to cook other things. She has gotten down meatballs and meatloaf pretty well now so I will start giving her new recipes as the day goes on.
  13. Congrats on your success! I have lived overseas for 7 years and in that 7 years I have fluctuated from 160 to 240. SOOOOO I have a whole myriad of sizes left over. Hoping they wont be too out of style when I get to the smaller ones.
  14. You will do fine! I remember thinking, I am going in feeling good but coming out feeling cruddy! haha It is the truth but really worth it. Just be patient with yourself and keep reminding yourself that the bumps you will encounter are only temporary and that you can do it. Good luck tomorrow!
  15. I was sitting at my desk at the house doing some paperwork after I had eaten my lunch. I started feeling horrible with nausea. I couldnt figure out what was going on until I realized that my house helper was frying chicken and the smell was making me nauseated! Shoot, no temptation there!!!!! BLAH!
  16. I have taken B12 shots for years because I have pernicious anemia. I just started on the sub lingual tablets this past week because my husband is traveling so much, he isn't here to give me shots. With the shots I can definitely tell when I need them. I get foggy headed and restless legs. We will see how I do with the sublingual. My surgeon said it shouldn't be a big difference.
  17. Next week I will be 7 weeks and will be allowed to begin exercise!
  18. Wow, well I would want to do it sooner than later because you now see that you CAN loose weight but it is so difficult to keep it off. Once you loose this sleeve weight, hopefully it will be gone forever!!!! I know you will make the right decision for you! I am thankful that you have a husband that is encouraging you, my husband has been a big encouragement through it all and I am so fortunate. Good luck! (We all get nervous too when we near the surgery date and with it being so close, I am sure that is part of your concern. You will do fine!!!! Just lean on us here at the board to help you through the difficult times! Hugs!)
  19. Well there are lots of new noises that have come out of my body since I was sleeved 6 weeks ago too. My son (he is a teenager) thinks it is hilarious that my stomach makes gurgling noises, I burp, I hiccup and I also "toot". So, although the burping hasnt gotten any better for me, it doesnt hurt anymore. AND it is a signal for me NOW that I better not take another bite of food or I will regret it. Hey, we may be noisy but we will be skinnier!!!! I'll take it! At least we have an excuse for our bad manners, haha Hope you feel better soon!
  20. I was just about to say the same thing!!! Good advice, I always use water for fluffy eggs! Funny how that works!
  21. My NUT allows a cup of coffee twice a day with milk. (Cafe con leche here in Peru) I have never touched coffee so I dont know how it actually affects the body but I am allowed it. Hope your stall ends soon! Just keep you the good work!
  22. I am 6 weeks out and havent been cranky but I have been feeling a little down in the dumps for a few weeks. No reason for it either so I just am chalking it up to hormones and crazy things going on in my body. Hope you feel better soon!
  23. Things WILL get better. I remember around the 3 week mark thinking "What the heck have I done". I was tired of all the yogurts and liquids and nothing tasted good but yet I was hungry! I am about a month and 1/2 out and have started having more energy, able to eat more and actually feeling full (since I have started solids) I doubt I will ever eat yogurt or sweet things like that again! (I hope not because sweets were my downfall so I am ok with not liking them now) Chin up, it will get better!!!! Praying that tomorrows lunch works for you! (Good to be prepared!)
