Now I can't even go to the funeral cause it is today and I am still in the hospital and than they are transporting the body to Ohio to be buried next to my Uncle. This totally stinks!!!!!!!

  4. Well I finally was sleeved on September 4 2012. At first I thought surgery was a success with no complication. Wellll needless to say I am still hospitalized. I did developed blood clots in my lungs and now going through all that. Hardest part is my daughter cries at night for me and I cry for her. But I have actually exercised for the first time in a long time by walking the hallways while waiting to heal. I am officially off pain meds now for 2 days. AND they are also considering lowering my diabetic meds already. In all honesty the surgery is not bad at all. It is the aftermath to beware of. Hopefully I will be going home tomorrow and they did delivery my oxygen for home use for the time being. Hopefully it will be for a short time. Please keep me in your prayers that I do get to go home. 2 extra days stinks being in the hospital!!!!
  5. On my way to the hospital to be sleeved this am at 7:30....Please say a little prayer for me!!!

  7. In 26 hours I will be sleeved. Having second thoughts?? My mind is playing tricks on me telling me that I really do not need this surgery!! I know I do need it and still am going through it....was wondering did anyone go through this....is it normal? I am looking forward to the weight loss and able to run around and play with my 5 year old....Today she asked me if this surgery will help me take her to the park and play with her...I just cried realizing I am missing part of her life because of the ball and chain I have on my body.... I want to be healthy and be off MOST of my meds.....tired of giving myself insulin and taking so many pills...I feel like my parents where they take a pill for every ailment they have...I refuse to be like them..... I want to walk into a normal store and buy ANYTHING off the hanger without wondering how long can I fit into these clothes before I have to buy new ones cause I out grew them,,,,,, I am tired of being tired and out of breathe everytime I do something or too much pain cause of the pain in my legs and back due to the weight gain...looking forward to being able to take control of my own home and clean it the way I love to clean.... YES THE SLEEVE IS FOR ME!!!! I am playing mind games with my brain telling thenm that I need to do this because of all the positive in my life....TIME TO GET RID OF THE NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I would still go...it's better than GOD fobid something happening to you with your 5 year looking on!!! When I was having my heart attacks I had my 3 year old at that time in the car with me driving around town buying clothes for our NY trip....I could of killed her, myself, and other innocent pple. Make it an adventure for your 5 year old. Do you have anyone who can watch him?
  9. You might have over done it...BUT to be on the safe side get yourself to hospital...3 years ago I thought I was having bad heart burn for 3 days and I was having heart attacks!!!
  10. AWESOME NEWS.....SOOOO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!
  11. YES YOU CAN DO IT!!!! I know it might be impossible but can you self pay and make monthly installments until the insurance covers? Also can you call your job and ask for those days back and explain to them what happened? Can you add yourself to your wife's insurance? Speak with the Doctor maybe there is a way he can help you. Good Luck...I will keep you in my prayers.
  12. It was whenever I felt hungry....by night time I was famished so I ate a salad.
  13. Slim fast 2x a day. I also drank ALOT of fluids through out the day....I would mix in crystal lite into a 1 litre bottle and drank 3 of those a day which is 120 oz...Soup as well through the day...mainly broth but sometimes I had reg Soup and pureed it and TONS and I mean TONS of Jello sugar free of course...but if I REALLY felt hungry I would eat a salad with fat free dressing (Lettuce and tomatoes only) but when Hubby was eating something I loved I would ask him for a bite and that would take wanting to eat more than I should....It is not easy but I did take it one day at a time!!! Good Luck!!!
  14. SSOOOOO EXCITED. Just came back from the doctors for final pre-op appt and I got weighed in and lost a total of 13 pounds in 9 days!!!!! I even told him I cheated and ate some salads and he said that was fine. Than he looked at me and said you cheated with SALADS!!!! He was thinking I ate bad things!!! Surgery is less than 5 days away!!!! Totally EXCITED now!!!!
  15.
