Well I finally was sleeved on September 4 2012. At first I thought surgery was a success with no complication. Wellll needless to say I am still hospitalized. I did developed blood clots in my lungs and now going through all that. Hardest part is my daughter cries at night for me and I cry for her. But I have actually exercised for the first time in a long time by walking the hallways while waiting to heal. I am officially off pain meds now for 2 days. AND they are also considering lowering my diabetic meds already. In all honesty the surgery is not bad at all. It is the aftermath to beware of. Hopefully I will be going home tomorrow and they did delivery my oxygen for home use for the time being. Hopefully it will be for a short time. Please keep me in your prayers that I do get to go home. 2 extra days stinks being in the hospital!!!!

In 26 hours I will be sleeved. Having second thoughts?? My mind is playing tricks on me telling me that I really do not need this surgery!! I know I do need it and still am going through it....was wondering did anyone go through this....is it normal?
I am looking forward to the weight loss and able to run around and play with my 5 year old....Today she asked me if this surgery will help me take her to the park and play with her...I just cried realizing I am missing part of her life because of the ball and chain I have on my body....
I want to be healthy and be off MOST of my meds.....tired of giving myself insulin and taking so many pills...I feel like my parents where they take a pill for every ailment they have...I refuse to be like them.....
I want to walk into a normal store and buy ANYTHING off the hanger without wondering how long can I fit into these clothes before I have to buy new ones cause I out grew them,,,,,,
I am tired of being tired and out of breathe everytime I do something or too much pain cause of the pain in my legs and back due to the weight gain...looking forward to being able to take control of my own home and clean it the way I love to clean....
YES THE SLEEVE IS FOR ME!!!! I am playing mind games with my brain telling thenm that I need to do this because of all the positive in my life....TIME TO GET RID OF THE NEGATIVE!!!!!!!!!!!

AWESOME NEWS.....SOOOO VERY HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!!!

I do know how to sew too....but I do not have the time nor the machine that will handle very thick materials...I bought a cheapo machine while waiting for the arrival of my daughter and I did sew most of her birth clothes but since she came home almost 6 years ago I do not even have the time to think let alone sew...plus working in Real Estate on top of that and owning my own Scrapbooking embellishment company keeps me way too busy to even start a project. On the good end of things my husband is getting a littlle inheritance from his grandmother and he is giving me some of the money to go shopping for clothes.

AWESOME!!!! I can not wait to start posting my before and after....I am going in a week for my sleeve!!!

I feel your pain !!!! Hubby and daughter brought home McDonald's for breakfast and daughter goes to me...Mommy I can not eat the sausage do you want it???? ARRRGGGG my favorite. I said no throw it out and was proud of myself...living in the moment only and taking it one day at a time....I got 8 more days of the pre-op liquids!!!!!!

Thanks ALL...Glad I was told about this forum...feeling better. I do have a doctor's appt for the 30th and will say the truth....I knew this was not going to be easy....Yes I also have a MAJOR food addiction.....and it was always my comfort!! I am going to take it one day at a time.
