  1. Is there a store or a 7-11 somewhere? You could eat tuna salad, but make sure you chew it to mush or buy a pre-made protein drink, those are usually at a convenience store or a drug store. Good luck! :-)
  2. I have the same thing of and on. I really noticed it one day I went to take my dog to the vet, came home, went right back out to the video game store, then left there and walked around Meijer grocery shopping for an hour, I figured I had done too much. When I went to bed that night it was gone when I woke up a few hours later to use the bathroom. I think it's normal too I also thought it was weird cause I don't have an incision in that area, mine are just above it.

Congrats! I am 3 days too!! My surgery went well, aside from my high BP, I'm so elated that I dropped 22lbs just from the pre op diet, my only battle is gas and my BP, but I know both will get better with time! I feel so much better, I know you do too:-D
  4. Congrats on your date! I had not thought about the wiping, I'm hoping it's easier than it was when I had a c-section...i think if your real careful you could probably manage at least I hope so, I would like to know this too. Thanks for mentioning this!
  5. Aww, I know exactly how you feel, I pray the phone will ring soon for you! I know it will!!, the hardest part is waiting, be encouraged, because in His eyes you are perfect because he made you! Keep you chin up, soon you will get that call and have your surgery and able to run behind your child and slide with him! That is my goal too, I want to have a snowball fight with my girls and take them to Disney world and get on every roller coaster in the park LOL!
  6. Panera!! My gracious, those bagels are so good. That is a huge accomplishment...I am still weak for Panera...I have to stay away for a while I don't get sleeved until late sept. Good for you! and hope you have a speedy recovery :-)
  7. Isn't he just awesome! Congrats!!!!!
  8. Honestly, I didn't call back regularly at first, the insurance coordinator called me once a week or every two weeks, to check my progress on clearances, I admittedly procrastinated at first because there was a very stressful situation going on at the time. She continued to call and one time she asked me was I still interested in the surgery. I told her yes and finally started to do everything this year, I ended up having to meet with my surgeon again as well because it had been so long. Anyway, I did call the insurance company when I was still looking for a doctor and had them explain to me what was covered and what I would have to pay as well as what was required. A few people I know who had wls too were telling me I had to do 6 months of dieting before but I had to keep telling them no I don't because I already called the insurance company twice and I already know! Because of my high bmi, the 6 month requirement is waived. I haven't had any problems so far, just astronomical co-pays. The office and staff have been really helpful in helping me with insurance. I have BCBS too.Still keep on top of it and follow up, and sometimes it's sad but the office staff will chase away patients, I've left some pretty nice doctors because of crappy staff, now I'm not suggesting you do this, but just keep it in mind just in case. Sorry for the mini novel LOL
  9. Well I'm glad I found this thread! Mine started yesterday so hopefully, it won't start again until September 5, mine are usually like clockwork, but extremely heavy and crampy. My surgery is scheduled for August 30th. I hope aunt Flow doesn't decide to visit early, I planned my date just so I wouldn't have to deal with very bad cramps ,and heavy bleeding.
  10. LOL I have nightmares about those chairs, and turnstiles too. Yay! I'm happy for you, I can;t wait to get to where you are, being able to fit in a booth is definitely a milestone!!
  11. That's Awesome! I know you are so excited!! I haven't scheduled my sleeve yet, still going through my last clearance, but I have to lose a bit of weight before hand. This is what my dietician gave me to go by: PRE-SURGICAL liquid DIET Start date:1 week before your surgery date (unless told otherwise by your surgeon) · Drink 3 - 4 Protein drinks per day. (Refer to pages 22-25.) · Include 6 servings per day from the following food choices: o 1 cup skim milk, ½% milk or 1% milk o 1 cup tomato juice or regular V-8â juice o ½ cup plain oatmeal, Cream of Wheatâ or Cream of Riceâ, plain grits o 4 oz. sugar-free pudding o 6 oz. light yogurt o ½ cup unsweetened applesauce o Raw vegetables · Drink Water or sugar-free beverages as needed during the day such as water, broth, Crystal-Lightâ, sugar-free Jell-Oâ, decaffeinated coffee or tea. · Note: It is okay to use sugar substitutes (Splendaâ, Equalâ, Sweet-N-Lowâ, Truviaâ) during any stage of your diet, before or after surgery. Cinnamon is allowed in your hot Cereal. 2 days before your surgery date: Choose Protein Drinks, sugar-free pudding, skim milk, plain oatmeal, Cream of Wheatâ or Cream of Riceâ, plain grits, light yogurt, tomato juice, V-8 juice No applesauce or raw vegetables allowed Continue with above listed serving sizes The day before your surgery date: Choose water, apple juice, white grape juice, white cranberry juice, chicken or beef broth, Gatoradeâ, Jell-Oâ, popsicles, decaffeinated coffee or tea. NOTHING RED!! Sip liquids throughout the day. Aim for 64 ounces of Fluid (unless you have been told otherwise). You should have nothing by mouth after midnight the night before surgery. If you are instructed to take medications the morning of surgery, do so with only small sips of water. Hope this helps!! Good luck, I will keep you in my prayers
  12. Wow, I'm so sorry about the experiences you all have had. I'm glad I came to this forum because sometimes when you hear the comments people make about us, you feel like your the only one going through it at the time. I have many stories to tell. Some days I dare someone to say something about my weight, and other days I will break down and cry. One of the days I was ready to knock someone into the middle of next week was the time my family and I were at the mall. My husband is a large guy too and we had not eaten anything that day so we could go out to eat. We were standing in the line at the food court and this idiot walks past and says, "HEY, HEY, HEEEY" he and his friends were laughing, but that all ceased when his gaze met mine. I was NOT in the mood for nonsense that day. He stopped laughing and kept walking. I've had children be brutally honest in my daughters' school, one little girl walked up to me squeezed my arm and was saying, "tubby, tubby, tubby" *sigh* and the list goes on, but I try to stay positive and ask God to give me strength not to act on how I feel and he has done that, I'm not in any trouble LOL, but I really hurts to hear people be so insensitive and say hurtful things. I'm afraid to ride a plane, train, bus, anything with confined space because I don't think I could handle the embarrasment of not fitting.
  13. Thank u! Im really looking forward to this, I'm super excited to learn all I can before surgery.
