  1. Just push as much fluids as you can. Remember we are works in progress! You will make it!
  2. My doctor told me I had to wait 4-6 weeks for healing. Just walk! I want to keep the momentum going so hopefully this week I will get the ok. Elliptical here I come!
  3. My surgery was April 8th. I am down 29 lbs thus far. Next week is my one month appointment. Today I told my self I am going to make 60 grams of protein. I just drank the nastiest protein drink mix with the Gosh awful EAS AdvanEDGE shake. I ate some yogurt (15 grams). I am at 42g and I did that ricotta bake in the cupcake pans so I am thinking one of those will put me at 50-52. Wish me luck!
  4. Same here! After a few bites, I get this pressure in my chest/windpipe area, that is only relieved by walking. I have been able to eat more often, but I can't take in a lot. This morning it took me two hours and 10 minutes to eat 5oz of Chobani yogurt. I am not complaining, I am just adjusting to my new life style! Still working on the protein though!
  5. My nutrition plan says 7 weeks vegetables cut very small.
  6. Hi Neighbor! I am in Fayetteville, NC. I am 8 days post op! I had hernia repair as well. I have not weighed myself, I will weight until my 2 week appt next week! I stopped being sore, Day 5. I have been running around nonstop since I got home! I have not consumed much at all, its a wonder where my energy is coming from since I have been less than 100 calories a day. I did eat a sugar free pudding cup! I am getting there! Gotta work on my Protein but I can say I average 40 ounces of Fluid a day.
  7. I am glad this post was made. I have been getting literally less than 100 calories a day but I am sipping water and Crystal Light. I am burping and the gas is moving out finally. I am going to attempt some broth this morning.
  8. I haven't been depressed. Just been working on these gas pains! You got this!
  9. When I was in recovery I had no drain, no foley. Is that normal? I had prepared my family for that but nothing. I know this could be a blessing in disguise but was curious. I am at 30 oz a liquid but improved everday.
  10. What are you experiencing? I was sleeved April 8th. I can't get fluids in. Just some. The gas pains!!!!
  11. I am 5 days pot op. I feel good but just can't get my liquids in. I finally went potty though. Today will be better.
  12. It got easier the closer I got to my goal. I didn't want any food. Now I am Day 4 post op.
  13. You are exactly right. I was on a 4 week plan. I cheated because I thought I was hungry. When I got serious, I lost 19 lbs in 11 days. Now I am day 4 post op. All in my mind.
  14. Was sleeved on 4/8. You will be fine. The worst thing is the gas. Trying to walk. Hard to eat walk with air.No regrets though.
  15. I was sleeved yesterday. Sore. Tender. Happy! I lost 19lbs preop! Overall my experience here has been great.
  16. In the lobby now. Hope to be posting soon.
  17. Surgery today. Not nervous yet. God's got it.
  18. I was told it may help improve anxiety. Being healthier may trigger the mind to improve endorphins. I have anxiety and panic attacks. It was bad in 2004. I still have them sometimes. I can't promise you that I won't have one next week. I just know my faith is strong, I will trust God, and I am getting this surgery.

I am getting sleeved Monday and everyone has talked about the first three days being hard, at least you are able to post so you must not be in pain? Am I right?
  20. I am pre-op but I was told 60-80 grams of protein a day.
  21. You look great! I am getting sleeved on 4.8.2013. Are there any tips you can provide? Do you work out? Again! You are doing a superb job
  22. So I am being sleeved April 8th. I have been placed on a one week liquid diet, with Sunday being clear liquids only( Five shakes a day). The problem is, along with all the anxiety and thoughts of doom I have, these Bariatric Fusion protein shakes are already making me nauseous and sick. I can only imagine after surgery. The thing is, I don't want food either. I just, have the stomach blues. If anyone had to do just liquids for a week or two, let me know what did you drink? I had the choice between Bariactric Advantage and Bariatric Fusion. At first it was ok, but Day 3? I want to throw up.
