smb got a reaction from nicole836 in Stabbing/burning Pain
Yes, I had this exactly at about 2 or 2.5 weeks.
It lasted for about 4-5 days while stuff healed inside. I couldn't walk or move much without a stabbing knife pain, which clearly was due to incision stuff. I was even in tears sometimes.
What helped me was Spanx and first aid tape. I taped up the painful areas so they couldn't jiggle or get stretched, then wore Spanx to hold it in. It was magic!!!
After it had a chance to heal, I was pain-free and have been for 3 weeks now.

Hey, I was just asking you about pre-ops at Cleve Clinic in another thread! Did you decide to go self pay? How did you get approved so fast???

BMI 39.18?? Surely you can buffet-it up to BMI 40 and visit a different doctor.

That's a crappy thing to say and there is always someone who says this when someone says they're having trouble. Geez.
Nobody loves the pre-op diet and everyone has moments where they feel like a failure.

A lot of times too, they are younger and/or men!
I just turned 40 and after 2 kids, losing weight is A LOT more difficult than it was 10 years ago -- surgery or not!

I'm about a month and a half out and can eat plenty. A kinda good thing since I don't like people to question that I now eat so little and a bad thing that I might not continue losing the pounds. Yesterday the office bought pizza for the team. I ate 1/4 of a large pizza and I also got a slice at the gas station after work. snacked on some nuts, drank a 16 oz strawbeery milk and ate a walgreens frozen meal with sorta a lot of chips. Had put on 3 lbs by bed time. Then this morning the office brought in panera Bagels. I ate 1 with cream cheese in like 15 min. Although the old me might have downed 2 of them. Needing to realize that even though I can doesn't mean I should.

I am 3 months post op and my goal is to eat a MEAL and not graze all day.
    Turkey
    Some stuffing
    Some potatoes
    Some green Beans
And no doubt I will keep picking at turkey since we'll be at home and I'm cooking.
It'll still be 1/4 of what I would have eaten before!
Solid 40 lbs lost as of today.

I have a similar problem. I try to drink flavored Water and eat chicken breast meat when I want to snack.< /p>
Sometimes the last thing I want is chicken, but if I know that's all I'm "allowed" to have and I still don't want it, then I can concede that I'm probably not hungry.

I'm 6 weeks post-op on Wed and am battling a 3 week stall (uuugh) but old jeans have started to fit again AND I can cross my legs once again!
So while I am tired of not losing actual weight, I'll try to focus on the positives.
