  1. I am scheduled for surgery tomorrow (yay!) and just had pre-op yesterday. Nobody mentioned my nailpolish -- all 8 people who saw me. But I'm reading in the paperwork, don't wear nailpolish. I have shellac on my nails and it's a pain to remove. Did anyone get by without removing nailpolish??
  2. I'm scheduled for surgery on Wed and it's Sunday night now. I feel like I might be getting a UTI. Will this postpone my surgery? Maybe if I ignore it, it'll go away.
  3. Thanks you're a sweetie!
  4. It's very eye-opening, this experience. My husband went to the store now, so here I am alone filling the pinata with candy. Normally I'd start eating the pieces I kept aside as soon as he was gone. In fact, as soon as he left I went to the fridge to see what I could eat without police watching me. Then I remembered... I AM being held accountable for this. So I "snuck" a string cheese and some SF Jello.
  5. Thanks you guys, you are right. I came this far, I'm not going to mess it up now. Nobody in my family knows except my husband and cousin. I didn't even tell my best friend.
  6. My surgery is Aug 29th and I've been doing well on the pre-op liquid low carb diet. It hasn't been all liquid but I'm down 11lbs so far so I'll take it. But tomorrow is my daughter's 3rd birthday and we're having a family party. I purposely ordered food so I didn't have to cook, and I got food I'm not wild about so I'm less tempted. I'm dying to break into the potato chips, though. I admit it. GAAAAH wish me luck
  7. Sorry for all the complications you're having. Do they know why you can't keep anything down? Here's hoping the storm blows over soon!!
  8. Thanks, you as well! Sweet dreams tonight. I almost wish I did the sleep study. A night free of crying babies.
  9. My surgery is Aug 29th and I'm one week into my pre-op liquid diet. Looking forward to the future when I can bust out my smaller clothes in storage and I can take a bite of what I want and be full.
  10. When you turn sideways I can barely see you!!
  11. Your traveling sounds fantastic and I'm so glad to read this!! I'll be in China and Korea towards the end of the year and was wondering in my mind how it might be.
  12. I'm one week into my two week pre-op liquid diet and we are supposed to be doing protein drinks, broth, and water. That's it. I'm following more along the lines of your pre-op diet, staying between 800-900 calories. I've lost 8 lbs so it's working out.
  13. OMG I do the exact same thing!!! Hahahaha In fact, we have two scales and they never show the same number, it's maddening! I keep going back and forth until I get a better number on the scale that's always running heavier.
  14. Rite vs. right saves 1 letter. Sum vs. some saves 1 letter. Wait vs. weight saves 2 letters. R U an extreme couponer 2?
  15. No. What I meant is that autistic children were once sent away to a home and now they are celebrated for being unique and special, there is awareness now. They are readily employed. They are more accepted. Fat people are not accepted any more than they were 30 years ago. Sure there more clothing options, but that's only because someone can make money selling it.
  16. Ooooh Ok, thank you. Good luck!!
