  1. Easy recipe.........place the fish over a couple slices of onion to keep it from sticking to the pan or foil, then pour your favorite Italian dressing over it. Cook either in the oven or on the grill until flaky, yum.
  2. That was my first stop after leaving the hospital, a good cup of java. I drink 3-4 cups every day, except in summer, then I cut back to 2-3, LOL.
  3. Thanks for the link, now I know what to look for. I haven't tried to eat a tortilla, you can really eat those, hmmmm. I'll give it a try, although I know I can't do the eggs, I could do the sour cream, cheese and bacon. I'll bet I could cook it in a frying pan and make it crisp then break it up and use it like a munchy food.
  4. As you all know, I'm soon to be 56, well obv my sons are grown, but we have always been quite open with sex jokes. One day I was in the warehouse hanging out with the guys (roofers-and when I'm in their domain, anything goes, but if they're in the office, they have to be resectful and watch their mouth). Anyway, they were talking about viberators and one of them said my girl's takea 2 dbl D batteries, my son spoke up and said, "that ain't nothing, mom had to have a 220 outlet added to the bedroom for hers". The other son piped up and said remember the one she had to kick-start, (motorcycle talk). Anyway, everyone had a great laugh. Oh yeah, it was a joke, not true, any of it, LMAO.
  5. I get the pain in my left shoulder/left side of the neck all the time, (first few times I thought I was having a heart attack or stroke), but it's after I've eaten a salad or something gassy. I eat a couple of Tums and it's gone. I think we're much more susceptible to heartburn or indigestion with the band.
  6. Eileen, I have the 4cc band and my restriction always hit right away, IMMEDIATELY. My doctor only has me do 24hrs of liquids, your doctor sounds cruel, LOL. You ate chicken, I haven't had a fill since September and I'm still squeamish with chicken, it has to be mush. As for the snow, all we had was flurries, even when the sun was out. Anne, I don't think I'll ever learn where all those knobs are, you'd think when ya get the same kind of car you had before the knobs and buttons would be located in the same general area, NOT. That darn navigational system makes me push the "I agree" button every time I put it in drive, but I had to have the nav system in order to get the back up camera, which I like a lot. Hey guys I tried a new combo yesterday, my DH brought me a house salad from OutBack, along with the creamy french onion soup, OMG was that wonderful. Anyway, I took a packet of that tuna that's seasoned with garlic, mixed that in with my salad, added some ranch dressing and some raspberry vinaigrette, YUM. That tuna added such a punch and some protein.
  7. Nothing makes me regular. I've used Benefiber in my coffee for months and I still have to use a Ducolax to "go", and I have to take at least two and it takes two days for it to work, no over night action for me. This has always been a problem for me, so I can't blame it on the band....so I know what it feels like to be full of chit.
  8. Good luck Michele from NY and welcome to LBT, Jersey style, LOL, (I'm from VA).
  9. Has anyone heard from Ciera? Three pages of posts and no follow up from her. I hope she's ok.
  10. I second that good luck wish to Sherry W!
  11. Update of newest grandson...(notice how I cut Nana out of the picture)
  12. Picture time, taken with new camera, finally bit the bullet and bought the Canon Rebel XT
  13. A lot depends on whether surgery is covered by insurance, which involves more hoops as oposed to self-pay, which is generally much faster.
  14. You go girl, (Anne), you surely summed it up for me. I come here to here about the band and experiences others are having band related and not, but I can live without all the drama. Hugs to all.
  15. Good Morning Everyone! It's been a busy week, between the grand kids whooping my a$$ and work, well I did go in a couple of days, and home stuff, where does the time go. When you get my age, time just skips on by. Sherry, I'm sooo excited for you. I had to be at the hospital at 5:30, so I drove myself and then DH and Mom came just before surgery, which was the way I wanted it and asked them to do. Zan, I think they must have pulled that thread, I did a search on PDA and nothing turned up, hummm. As for the car trading every 3 weeks, NOT, I lost my A$$ on the last deal. When I bought the smaller one, the GX470, I got a pretty good deal, they threw in the double DVD players, this time it cost me $$$, plus I had to pay for the upgrade NAV, like I need that to go to and from the mall and work, LOL. I was so disappointed snow 25 miles away and nothing but flurries here AND the sun's out, how weird is that. Gee Eileen, I can't even imagine who you might be talking about, LMAO, by the way, that's not the first time that person's done that, doubt it will be the last. Cindy, I hope you're all well now. Now Cindy, as sharp as you are, I know that split personality thing didn't get by YOU, LOL. Cindy, see my comments below in regards to the ugly posts by so many people. I think it's getting way out of hand, where are the moderators, what are they thinking? I know there's freedom of speach, but they should have a special "room" or section....The Bitching Room! Whatta ya think? Betty take care of those flowers. My mom started an indoor Amarillo bulb about a month ago and now it has 3 huge blooms, she had to prop it up. Sunsett, that would be a long drive by yourself, flying may be the way to go. I have to admit I've been spot reading threads here and there, I think I need a break from the amount of time I had been spending on LBT, with the exception of this thread and maybe one other, but after a year and a half of being consumed with it, and the same ol chit from the same ol people, just too much negativity. I have to admit I think I almost became obsessed with this site, so afraid I'd miss something, but there are so many people now and so much of the same stuff, thread after thread, I just got bored with it. I come here for the support and because of the certain people I have become so very fond of. I just erased a few more comments because I don't want to offend a few of the sweeties that do not come here, but this lil NJ group is da bomb, even if we aren't all from NJ. I need to go read up on Anne, sounds like you may be stressed out, here's a great big (((((hug))))). Be back later, gonna go do some catching up.
  16. It's interesting the way they're done differently, I have to admit, I liked mine better, although, the bows all the around was kind of neat. Adding all that other stuff does add to the cost. Sounds like your gift was very nice and will be greatly appreciated, I'm sure. Thanks for posting the picture for me to check out.
  17. Yummm, I tried this new sauce at Costco, Soy Ginger, dabomb! Good on chicken or fish, fried or grilled.
  18. Howdy, glad you found us too. Good luck on your band journey!
  19. That's true Betty, but I'm still kicking my own ash because I didn't eat that last great big, juicy hamburger, stuffed with blue cheese, boy does that just sound delicious.
  20. Sorry self pay, wish a letter would have done it for me, good luck.
  21. All it takes is ANY type of real potato for me and pb guaranteed, maybe not the next bite, but very soon to follow. Even mashed potatoes, unless they're flaked artificial taters, damn this is a smart band. I have tried soo many times to fool it, you know a tiny bite of mashed potatoes (Country Crock) followed quickly by beef and gravy, not to be fooled, then like Zoe said, multi pb's....ERRR. Hope you're feeling better Zoe.
  22. Paula, where have you been? Here in VA, that's a big seller at the Red Lobster restaurants, baked in a bag, yumm. It's sweeter than Flounder to me. Most of the local grocery stores here carry it in their seafood dept. It's one of the few fish I can keep down, LOL.
  23. Eileen, Dec 31, I bought the Lexus GX 470, but my other car, before the GX was the larger of the two, the LX 470. I had that car for 6 years, so I keep a vehicle a long time, (well usually). I drove that thing for 3 weeks, called my DH while he was in Fla, on a golf trip and said, jokingly, I called Ken at Lexus and told him I wasn't happy with this vehicle and he's looking for LX 470 for me. Waiting to hear all hell break loose, he said, "well if you don't like it, trade it now before you get too many miles on it", so then, I actually did call the salesman, LOL. Anyhooo he found an LX, pearl white, fully loaded, the nav system and the back up camera, which is really sweet, specially when you're backing into a parking spot or the garage, but he had to order the DVD players for the headsets. Now they're in and I'm good to go for hopefully another 6 years. If you're squeamish about needles, have your doctor prescribe some of that topical stuff you put on that numbs the belly before you go, that's what I got, makes the fills much easier, not only am I spoiled, I'm such a wusssssss. Hugs... How you feeling this am Ms. Irene?
  24. You're so smart, I wouldn't have thought of that and I don't think it's gross. Yuk, I'd hate to think of what mine looks like with all the food hung up around it, LOL.
  25. That's what I use and they help fill that chocolate fix too.
