My New Puppy
YA Think, LOL! Jess, I think that is truly one of the cutest puppies I've ever seen. I'm not really a "pet" person, (just one more thing to clean up after, LOL), but that one could almost tempt me. I think when my sons were younger and they had their various "pets", one of my least favorite was my older son's boa. He was over 6' long. He use to get out of his cage and I'd hear this thump on my ceiling. I'd call upstairs and tell my son, that *#@# snake is out again.

What the heck just happened to me????
It's official, you're a true bandster, LOL.

Somebody Slap Me!!
OMG, when I was on liquids and mushies, what goes down easier than a Sonic Blast, over 500 calories, I was only having one a day, which was only because I only passed it once a day, LMAO. I do treat myself to a simple Sonic ice cream cone every now and then. Consider yourself slapped and today's a new day, I love talking rough, LOL.

Congratulations, she's so lucky to be able to do it now, at such a young age, so she can enjoy the rest of her life.

non adjustable banding
My great aunt had it done about 4 years ago and she eats like a person who had RNY, she's lost over 150 lbs. No problems that I'm aware of.

Stuck little LOSS!
In the early months of being banded, when I would get to a stall, I'd have gained muscle, now, just lazy I guess. Hopefully my fill scheduled for next Monday will do the trick to get me motivated again.

Out of CONTROL!!
I could have written your yesterday thread today, OMG, how much weight can we gain in one day? I have eaten so much chit today, I'm talking stuff I would never eat, Beef Jerky, choc covered soy nuts, fried shrimp, mini crab cakes, celery dipped in blue cheese dressing, spinach lasagna, lobster bisque soup, but I finally stopped, there was nothing else to eat. Gosh I hope we don't have another cold, rainy day tomorrow, ok, I'm bending over now, somebody kick my a$$.

What should I do to prepare?
I have a recliner, well my DH has one, I slept in the bed from the day I came home, just not on the tummy for a few weeks. My doctor said I could have any liquids that would fit through a straw, but don't use a straw. Did ya know thin gravy will fit through a straw, LOL.

Official Easter/Spring Gift Exchage Sign Up!
Mary, the shoes were cute, but I don't like anything that flops when I walk, picky ol lady me. On the other hand the shoe price wasn't bad, but OMG, the rest of that site was quite expensive, over $100 for an egg topiary, sheeese. Thanks for sharing the site, I love checking out new places to spend money, but I like it better when it's a GREAT deal. Ok, I'm a cheap date.

Out of CONTROL!!
Suz, I so agree with the tuna. I truly think my huge consumption of tuna attributed to much of my muscle gain....don't know why, but I can tell a big difference when I've got tuna in my band life.

Is it me or is LBT in SLOW MOTION?
I even deleted temp files, thinking that was bogging my puter down, then I checked out Pogo and it was super fast, sooo, sounds like we've bogged down LBT, maybe Mr. Alex needs to do some archiving. I'm so impatient too or is it spoiled with cable.

Can you eat these foods?
- Tortillas (white, wheat, corn?) don't know, haven't tried - Salad (what kind of lettuce can you eat?) yes all kinds - Hard breads (pretzels, crackers, melba, etc.) hard crackers yes, bread, haven't tried, don't want to take the chance I may be able to - "Fluffy" breads (pancakes, waffles, muffins) a bite of a pancake, that's it - Ground meants (turkey, chuck, sirloin...) ground beef, itty bitty bites - Shellfish/crustaceans (scallops, shrimp, crab, lobster, mussels...) oh yeah, except I find scallops very bloating Hard cereal (grape nuts, oat bran, etc.) very slowly and not often - Hard cheeses-yep __________________

Fish-oil supplements for LapBanders?
I poke a hole in the flax seed oil tablet and squirt it in a smoothie, can't taste it. I suppose I could do the same with the fish oil, but the after taste would still be nasty.

enema post op
You must have been in some terrible pain to have the paramedics give you an enema, poor thing. When were you banded?
-
What did you pay
For those of you who are self-pay, get it in writing. It has been over a year since I was banded and Friday I received another past due bill of $2900, for the anesth doctors, the BALANCE of what they charged vs the $750.00 which is what I was required to pay before banding, and has been paid. When I called my doctors office, the manager there told me to call the Anesth office and the hospital and tell them. I checked my records and I had mailed HER a letter Feb 05 regarding this same issue. So I faxed her a copy of the 05 letter and a note telling her I paid what I was quoted and THEY had the contract/agreement with the Anesth office and it was up to her to get it straight, don't ya think. Get the quote in writing, I wish I had. Oh yeah, they don't deal with that Anesth group any more.
