Why I have been missing

Some of youmight have noticed I have been missing for the past week. Most prolly haven't. :) I wanted to let you all know so I could get some prayers and thoughts from those willing. Actually they are for my daughter. She has been in the hospital for the past week (since last saturday night) with severe pneumonia. It has been a real struggle. The antibiotics they are giving her are not doing anything, and her fever has been almost uncontrollable. So has her pain. She is in such severe pain that it makes her retch and scream. They have her on morphine, but sometimes the pain gets through. It has been very hard on all of us. My mother flew out from Seattle to help me with my son during this time, and DH and I have spent basically every minute at the hospital. Last night he forced me to come home to switch out the supply of clothes we have and take a real shower, not the spongebaths I had been doing. His turn is tonight.

My daughter'sname is Emily. She is only 4 years old and has been healthy all of her life until now. This has been so hardon her little body, but she manages to smile still every day. The nurses are in love with her, and her bright redhair. And whenever she is sent to radiology everyone stops her on the way down to admire and tell her how cute she is. It has def been the highlight of her stay. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. We need her back at home, and it has been tough on all of us.

Thank you.

Amy

I am very sorry to hear that your daughter is so ill right now. I will say a big prayer for her, and be sending postive thoughts for you and your family. Maybe all the good wishes and support will turn the tide for her today.

So sorry to hear of your daughter's illness, best wishes to all of you during this time. Give eachother pleny of hugs, you'll look on this later and tease her how she had you "sooo scared"! Hugs, kisses and best wishes to all of you!!

Our hearts are with you and your darling daughter, Funny. I have a 4 year-old myself, and I know how impossibly hard this must be for you all. :) Strength to all of you, and especially Emily to heal up fast and come home!!

Amy, I was thinking of you this morning, no kidding! I'm really sorry about the struggles with your daughter. ((((hugs))) to you and strength to get through it. I'll be praying for little Emily, that her body heals and she can come back home soon. Rest, and know that the prayers of many accomplish much. God bless you!

Amy ~ I've got your daughter as my daughter's prayer buddy. She likes to pick someone new to pray for (she's 8) when her prayers have been answered. Her last prayer buddy finally got home from the hospital last week, so let's see how quickly she can get your little one back home to you!!!!

((((((((((HUGS for Mama, too!!))))))))

Oh Amy, I'm so sorry Emily is sick. I can't imagine what you all are going through. I too have a 4 year old.

Hugs and kisses to you and you most certainly have my prayers.

Amy, I had dual lobe viral pnemonia about 4 years ago and was very close to walking on the other side. Please know that your daughter is in good hands with her care takers and todays modern medicine. I will pray for her speedy recovery, and your familys worries. God bless your little Emily!Big hugs to you!

Emily is in my thoughts and prayers and so is you and your family.

I can relate, my son was in the hospital for 2 days due to severe pneumonia 2 years ago. Since then he has alergies and when he gets a cold he always gets an infection. Next week he is haveing tests for reactions and I can't give him any claritin, abutrol or flovent for 3 days prior.
