  1. Well, actually, I was ok from the second day, I wasn't dancing a jig, but on day two, I cooked Dh a steak on the grill and folded the laundry. But i felt better moving. I was too scared to sit too long, too worried about blood clots, I truly believe, as I've posted before, being mobile, keeping on the move within the house premises helped me heal faster. My hardest times were when I showered, having to deal with those &((^*% drains Once they were out, I was out and about on my own, I drove on the 5th day, and quit taking pain pills of any type on the Wed after my Monday surgery. As to comparing the pain, it was more uncomfortable than painful. The lipo is still tender, the tummy still pulls a little when I strech or reach up too high and the girls left me know if I've lifted more than I should. Still not standing tall, hubby fusses at me all the time to hold my shoulders up, but after 58 years of leaning forward, well it's a hard bad habit to break.
  2. Thanks for posting, I know first hand about the lipo, it's been four weeks now and still very tender in the lipo area....ouch! Please stay in touch and let us know how she's doing day to day.
  3. Hard to believe what a diff a couple of days can make, I'm not falling out of my DD bra anymore, how crazy is that? I have been taking Motrin for the swelling, maybe that's helping.
  4. Neal, good luck and Nina, we're thinking about you. Kellie bellie, so good to see you post again, I'm sure you remember me from wayyyyy back. Hugs
  5. thanks mama, i'm doing well, thanks for asking. forgive the lack of etiquette with my typing, but i'm on my laptop, it works me to death with this little keyboard, lol. doing well, we're on vacation in fl, but the weather sucks! Hope to get rid of white legs within a few days. GL on the weight loss! Stay in touch!
  6. Unfortunately, I do have signs of weight loss in the inner thigh area, I had hoped the TT would snug that up a tad, but it didn't seem to help much. I mentioned somewhere before, the TT was not on my original visit to the PS, it was pretty much an after thought on my preop visit. Thanks for the compliments :smile2:
  7. Actually, I think he's a little disappointed they're still so big, he was looking forward to some "strange", LMAO!
  8. Karey, I bought a few pairs from JCP and some from Walmart and also Target. The best ones were from JCP, they were more firm. Tami, I'm so glad I had the TT done :smile2:
  9. I had mine 4 weeks ago, and I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow, recovery was very easy for me, not so sure why, but I'm greatful, LOL. Also had breast redu/lift as well and lipo. That area is still tender.
  10. Helllllllllllewwww, I see ya all peepin, time to stop in :smile2:
  11. Welcome Alisa, great to have you sign on, and congrats on your band and journey. Who was your surgeon, what are of Va are you from? I'm from the Hampton Roads area.
  12. Karey, I do own a Harley, but I haven't ridden for two years, it just doesn't come natural to me, not sure I'll ever ride again. This is a pic before my TT and breast redu/lift, on the three wheeler I learned on, my Harley is in the back left of the one I'm sitting on.
  13. Neal, I did fine without the unfill, but I've been at the same level for almost a year . Maybe my "sweet" spot, ya think, LOL.
  14. Well thank goodness we finally heard from you Diane, thought we were going to have to send out the flying monkeys....ok Betty, you're warned. Diane, just because you're a pro bandster now, don't forget to drop in from time to time, at least every other day, LOL.
  15. You said she's a friend, does that mean a good friend, or an aquaintenance? If she's a good friend, then I'd have to tell her and ask her to be happy for you and explain why you kept the truth from her, so as not to hurt her feelings. Then give her a hug and tell her to get on the band wagon!
  16. I had a great NSV today too:) We had a local "home show", where various businesses go and show their wares, well one of our compeitors went up to my son who was minding the show today, and told him, "Man, I saw your mom in here last night and she's HOTT", can you imagine your 34 year old son passing that remark on to ya, wahoo! By the way, size 12 was my goal, not a # on the scales, love my new 12's and the new me, oh yeah, did I mention I'm 58, LOL.
  17. I miss certain foods I can't/don't eat, boy do I long for a great big, juicy cheeseburger, with lots of mayo and bacon
  18. Kaila, I've been banded 3 years and your post is the first I've seen where the surgeon said it's ok to do carbonated soda's. Thanks goodness I do not have a desire for them now, but considering I was a Diet Coke junkie, they were not easy to give up.
  19. Thanks Mariposa, but the girls are still too big for Victoria's . I'm very disappointed the DD size, I don't believe there's enough swelling to cause them to be this large, but it would be nice if it is. My goal was a large C or small D, wahhh.

Welcome Christ, wow is all I can say, that was a lot to go through! I had TT and Breast lift/redu on the 14th of Jan, my scars are still a pretty purple and I've been faithful, well sorta faithful about putting the Mederma on them. You know us nosey LB folks would love to see pictures. I posted some on the Feb/March 08 surgery site.
  21. Misty, my answer would be...welcome to lapband! I've been banded for three years and I could probably toot a song. My mom and I have had this discussion many times, she's banded too. At times, it can be down right embarrassing, LOL.
  22. Oh yeah, did I mention the hooters are still really big, I'm so disappointed . The're spilling out of my DD cup. I was just on line looking for bra's, pretty sexy ones, but not many to pick from in DD. Those hooters at Hooters looked like they were 20 years old, not 58, LMAO.
  23. Karey, are you doing the implants? At my age, I'm glad I didn't. I left it up to my ps. He said he could always go back and do them, but I think I'll pass, one less thing to worry with
  24. Congratulations Sue, that's awesome. Such an inspiration for new bandsters.
  25. Drkl, you've got such a great disposition. I too consider my band my "best friend". Karey have you purchased any compression garments? I still use the one I got from my surgeon, but I also got the "tight" fitting panties to wear during the day. I still wear the "sports bra" type garment at night, I can't see where it helps very much, but it's more comfortable with it on than off. I've started sleeping on my side, actually, I started that the first week, which of course my little post op info pack says not to do. My doctor said it was more important that I get sleep than worry about sleeping on my side. I've still got a lot of swelling from the lipo area, and the girls are still going to be DD's and that's a over flowing DD. I was surely hoping for a large C or small D . Have a great day gang!
