  1. Me too with the deflated boobs. I'm kinda upset cuz I was sleeved only 3 1/2 weeks ago & that's the only place that the weight came off of so far!!!! My stomach is the SAME!!! Ugh I know. I have to be patient but my boobs weren't that big to begin with!! Oh well, focus on health, right?
  2. I've been in a stall & my NUT said that it was normal & that there will be more stalls. I'm 3 1/2 weeks out.
  3. I'm 3 1/2 weeks post op & eating tuna salad minus any veggies, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, sweet potato, baby food, oatmeal/farina, chicken & any cooked veg's I chew very well. Cheese & yogurts r no problem!!! looking forward to sushi month 2!!!!!!
  4. I don't know about plication but my surgeon said that so far 36's seem to be doing the best. 32 too small, more vomiting, etc.. 40's too big with not enough restriction. Time will tell though...
  5. It's hard to tell the "full" feeling yet since we are still healing and the stomach is still swollen. Eat slowly and do whatever your nutritionist /surgeon tells you to do. Give it some time.
  6. Congrats to everyone on their success!! I'm a conversion too. I had the Band for almost 4 years. When I first heard about the sleeve at my surgeon's office I almost cried because I kept thinking that I got the wrong surgery. Thank God the Band is removable! I got it out ASAP and got the sleeve April 24th, 2012, and I'm so happy that I did it. The Band was just getting worse and worse and I've heard of horror stories with some people so Bye Bye Band for me!!
  7. I was starving when I was on clears. Full liquids especially milk mixed with protein powder was better but never got that 'full' feeling until the purée stage last week. The first day or 2 was uncomfortable but I was making my purée too thick. Make sure you thin the purée out with broth or water or creamy soup cuz it's uncomfortable!! Gas bubbles still hurt at this stage too. Drink slowly & eat even slower!! Good luck to all. : )
  8. I was sleeved 4/24/12 & had more pain after I started sleeping in bed last Saturday night. I slept in the recliner for weeks & it killed my hip. I started walking harder/faster & that hurt my left side more too & just felt more sore all over. We still need to take it easy. Good luck!! : )
  9. My NUT told me because we r eating so much less now that we need more supplements to make up for what's in food. I've been swallowing tablets, capsules, etc since day 3 post op with no problem. Nurse told me that I could take them & didnt have to sprinkle or crush anything. My multi-vit is chewable cuz it's huge!! I also take a little fiber supplement.
  10. I gained 7 Lbs right after surgery & haven't lost much. I'm almost 3 weeks post op. I know other people r losing faster but everyone is different. I do get hungry but not as hungry as I was on clear liquids. Just do what they tell you to do & it will happen : ) Patience!!
  11. Also I put smooth PB in my protein shakes with a half of a small banana with no problems. I was sleeved 4/24/12. Only problems I'm having are with puréed foods too thick or spicy.
  12. I 'hide' the meat in the purée, like for example I've puréed low fat, low salt ham into FF refried beans or used chicken. I add unflavored protein & some broth as well. I really like yogurt & put protein powder in those. I weigh & measure everything out. : )
  13. I'm having trouble getting the 1/4 c puréed down 2 but my NUT said to thin it out more with broth or soup/V-8 even just water & that helped!!! I used creamy soup too. That was tasty : )
  14. I was sleeved 4/24/12 and I'm in a stall. NUT said it was normal and there will be more stalls. Frustrating but as long as you do what you're supposed to there's nothing to worry about!! TOM will knock weight out of whack too!! In fact, surgery will knock TOM out of whack so most of us will experience some sort of stalls/gains/losses in irregular increments!! Enjoy the ride : )
