  3. You have a lot on your plate yet you continue to go forward. I think you can handle anything! If you decide not to do the surgery, make sure you do something to take care of YOU.
  4. Arbonne has a fantastic pea protein powder in chocolate.
  5. I went to Smart and FInal and they have all kinds of Torani syrups to choose from (and cheap)! I got the raspberry to put in my nonfat Fage yogurt or in my peach icetea. Is the SF chocolate any good? What about the peanut butter? WHat else are people doing besides using it in protein shakes and yoguet? ANy good recipes?
  6. They gave me something to help me relax. I dont remember a thing, It was a piece of cake.
  7. My BMI was 33 when I was sleeved 2 weeks ago. I lost 50 pounds in the 3 months prior to surgery so I was on the fence about going through with it. I have lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks which is very slow compared to others, but I have only 45 pounds to lose. I am only 5'2 so any bit of weight shows on me.
  8. You need to walk, walk, walk. When I had my gall bladder surgery I was never told to walk and I was still in my hospital gown 2 weeks after surgery! I thought I was a slow healer. After being sleeved I started walking immediately and I have had virtually no pain after a few days. It really made such a HUGE difference in my recovery. Hope you are feeling better
  9. I am 2 weeks out am I consume the same amount. But I was wondering the same thing.
  10. There is somthing called Severe Hypoglycemia that more and more bypass patients are getting. It happens mostly to bypass patients who were not diabetic prior to surgery. It has been known to happen to sleevers toom but long ter studies have not been done, as with bypass. My friend passed out at work 2 times and after running all the tests they were able to diagnose her. She did not faint, she had a seizure because of her low blood suger. I would suggest getting a glucose test done.
  11. That sounds about right. But its best to rule out any possible clots. Glad you are feeling better
  12. My surgeon does not really provide much information during our visits. He usually seems rushed and the visit consists of any questions I may have. Well, I dont know what I dont know, so I dont always know what to ask. Any suggestions of what I need to know? Thanks
  13. My nut gave me a high Protein pudding recipe that is really good. (1/2 cup serving) 1 box fat free, sugar free chocolate instant pudding mix 1 16oz container nonfat cottage cheese 1 12oz container fat free cool whip 1 scoop chocolate Protein powder 4 TB skim milk Can you give me the recipe for the protein ice cream? Sounds good!
  14. Are you taking all your vitamins? Remember to take your calcium and iron 2 hours apart. Whenever you feel weak or light headed make sure you get something into your system immediately. You may ask your dr to run a glucose test.
  15. Call your surgeon and keep us posted!
  16. My surgery was almost canceled because I had dark stools. Attached is a color chart for your poop. http://www.puristat.com/constipation/bowelcolor.aspx?gclid=CI35xp_2ybACFQhahwodSiImZQ
  17. Wow, how did they find that? A coincidence? You are a lucky girl. Keep us updated as we keep you in our prayers!
  18. I was sleeved on the 13th and I have lost only 6 pounds. I dont think it is realistic to lose 10 pounds a week. Rather, average out how much you lose per month because our body fluxuates. But I hear you, I thought I would have lost more but at least I havnt gained!
  19. This is my 7th day out. I developed a rash on my tummy (I think it may be a heat rash from from the binder). I was constipated and now I have the runs. I am off the pain med only have slight discomfort around the incisions. I tire very easily and have difficulty getting 68 ounces in. However, I am able to drink 8 ounces of unjury chicken soup within 20 minutes. That really surprises me since my stomach doesnt even hold that much. Thank you June sleevers for keeping us updated n your progress!
  20. Its all across my stomach and down my sides, not just around the incisions. And it has come on so fast! Was thius your experience too? Thanks!
  21. I had surgery last Wednesday and today I noticed a rash that has gradually spread all across my tummy. It is hot and itches terribly! Has anyone had this after surgery? Thanks
  22. Everytime I drink or "eat" I get gas and I am always feeling bloated. Does this eventually go away? Should I take gas-x for it? I have not pooped in a week. I have taken miralax and nothing. I have no pain at my incision sites but I do have a hard lump above one of them with some bruising. Could this be an adhesion? Other than that I am good. I am a little weak and tired but otherwise, all is good! Thanks for listening. Have a great day!
  23. DId this start 9 weeks out, or right from the get go? Have you tried altering your diet (i.e. excluding milk products)? At first it sounded like constipation but the constant diarrhea sounds more like a bacteria or food allergy.
  24. Maybe it is a side effect of the pain meds? I'm glad it goes away because it is was not a normal occurence prior to surgery!
  25. SInce having surgery a few days ago I am frequently having leg, arm, head, foot jerks while falling asleep that jerks me awake. It happens every time I relax. Has anyone experienced this?
