I went to Smart and FInal and they have all kinds of Torani syrups to choose from (and cheap)! I got the raspberry to put in my nonfat Fage yogurt or in my peach icetea. Is the SF chocolate any good? What about the peanut butter? WHat else are people doing besides using it in protein shakes and yoguet? ANy good recipes?

Low Bmi'ers -- Please Share Your Story
My BMI was 33 when I was sleeved 2 weeks ago. I lost 50 pounds in the 3 months prior to surgery so I was on the fence about going through with it. I have lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks which is very slow compared to others, but I have only 45 pounds to lose. I am only 5'2 so any bit of weight shows on me.

Surgery Biggest Mistake Of Life!
You need to walk, walk, walk. When I had my gall bladder surgery I was never told to walk and I was still in my hospital gown 2 weeks after surgery! I thought I was a slow healer. After being sleeved I started walking immediately and I have had virtually no pain after a few days. It really made such a HUGE difference in my recovery. Hope you are feeling better

Fainting?!?!?
There is somthing called Severe Hypoglycemia that more and more bypass patients are getting. It happens mostly to bypass patients who were not diabetic prior to surgery. It has been known to happen to sleevers toom but long ter studies have not been done, as with bypass. My friend passed out at work 2 times and after running all the tests they were able to diagnose her. She did not faint, she had a seizure because of her low blood suger. I would suggest getting a glucose test done.

I Would Like Opinion On What To Buy For Protein?
Are you taking all your vitamins? Remember to take your calcium and iron 2 hours apart. Whenever you feel weak or light headed make sure you get something into your system immediately. You may ask your dr to run a glucose test.

Sleeved On The 12Th And Not Losing.. Argh!
I was sleeved on the 13th and I have lost only 6 pounds. I dont think it is realistic to lose 10 pounds a week. Rather, average out how much you lose per month because our body fluxuates. But I hear you, I thought I would have lost more but at least I havnt gained!

June 2012 Sleevers Post Op Check In
This is my 7th day out. I developed a rash on my tummy (I think it may be a heat rash from from the binder). I was constipated and now I have the runs. I am off the pain med only have slight discomfort around the incisions. I tire very easily and have difficulty getting 68 ounces in. However, I am able to drink 8 ounces of unjury chicken soup within 20 minutes. That really surprises me since my stomach doesnt even hold that much. Thank you June sleevers for keeping us updated n your progress!

One Week Post-Op Questions
Everytime I drink or "eat" I get gas and I am always feeling bloated. Does this eventually go away? Should I take gas-x for it? I have not pooped in a week. I have taken miralax and nothing. I have no pain at my incision sites but I do have a hard lump above one of them with some bruising. Could this be an adhesion? Other than that I am good. I am a little weak and tired but otherwise, all is good! Thanks for listening. Have a great day!

Hyperactive Pyloric Valve
DId this start 9 weeks out, or right from the get go? Have you tried altering your diet (i.e. excluding milk products)? At first it sounded like constipation but the constant diarrhea sounds more like a bacteria or food allergy.

Leg And Arm Jerking And Over Active Startel Response While Falling Asleep
Maybe it is a side effect of the pain meds? I'm glad it goes away because it is was not a normal occurence prior to surgery!
