  1. I have aetna but was in a simular situation. I had to do the 6 month supervised diet and my bmi at the time was 39.something low. I didnt have surgery until 11 months after initially starting the diet. If i would of lost 4 more pounds my surgery would of been canceled. Try not to gain weight on the diet because if they want to they will deny you. Just watch the scale. Good luck BTW i am in NJ too!

  2. I think all of our partners become insecure even more so if they are insecure to begin with. My hubby has made a few comments as well about me changing. Oh well! At this point i really hope he will see that i am still the same person that i was pre-op except i eat alot less. And you are right in a few weeks when she has surgery she will completely understand exactly how you are feeling!

    Hope things get better!

  3. I never posted anything on facebook but anyone that i physically come in contact with knows about my surgery. As i read your post i was thinking to myself "wow this sounds like me"!

As far as the ass that is so hurt for you not telling him about surgery, Dont give it much thought!

Congratulations! I know you are going to do so well with your surgery!

  4. i had to show 5 years weight history and diet history. After submitting it all i was denied. But i appealed because in one of the years, dont remember which one, they had my height wrong which made my bmi lower then 35. I sent them a snarky letter asking them if its even possible for a grown 30' something year old adult to grow 3 inches in a year and then shrink 3 inches the next year. I was approved. Took about 3 weeks for the approval but i was approved on 12/24/12 and had surgery 1/9/13.

Dont give up and send it in. This is Aetna's way of hoping you give up!
